Kind of frustrated

Postby happycamper59 » Tue Jul 16, 2024 12:31 pm

I am now a little more than 6 weeks post op. I am learning to cycle. However, although I know all the info on FT and shouldn't be concerned, but still I am a bit anxious.

I took a measurement today and from I can fully inflate so far, my buddy is only 5 inches, although standing firm. He was nearly 7 post-op with Tri-Mix. He is about 4.5 inches deflated (I wouldn't call it flaccid, since I don't seem to be able to fully deflate).

OK, so I have a road ahead. But still, anxiety creeps in.

Also, I have not been able to orgasm, at least not yet. I made my buddy a bit sore from trying. I was having some trouble prior to the implant, likely due to chemo-induced neuropathy (last year). Will that return -- the sensation, orgasm (not the chemo)? Should I back off from trying right now?
ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

Gosh, this is a tuff one because there are so many different testimonies. My orgasm control was same pre-op vs post-op, I think that is the majority experience. I would assume this will get back to pre op experience and should improve once your sensitivity improves. What did your chemo doc say about orgasm sensation, guessing that will still be the same.

Length is all over the place as well. I gained about 1/2 an inch from my pre op size but lost about 1/4 of an inch pre ED. I was exactly the same post and pre op. It's my belief cycling 2x a day for an hour each set, (took 8-12 months to be able to make it an hour, too much pain in the glands - now the pain is gone)... is the reason for my length gain, but who knows for sure.

From what I have seen, you will have very high odds of gaining length, gaining 2 inches back feels unlikely, you may have been a little under sized. Please keep us updated, I would absolutely love being proven wrong here, best wishes.

Everything you describe (except the chemo inspired neuropathy) I saw 4.5 years ago. Relax. Frustration is an orgasm’s worst enemy.

I usually hate to speak in platitudes but sometimes it is necessary. Getting an implant is a journey, not an event. Many, many of us went thru the same gates & over the same hurdles.

You’ve got an AMS product. So do I. The cylinders are always going to be a little stiffer than your original tissues. So your softy won’t be quite as floppy.

If you’re concerned about deflation, you can try what I do—-squeeze your dick at the end of the deflation process while holding deflate valve. I wouldn’t go overboard but mine gets much more flaccid in appearance & behavior when I do that.

At this point in your recovery I wouldn’t sweat the size. If you’re at 5” I would guess you’ve still got some growing to do via cycling. There are some quirks vis-a-vis individual anatomies and depths of your crus that will determine what a guy gets back. Here’s another hint: when pumped up gently palpate the underside of your glans to see if you can feel the ends of your cylinders. If you can, and the cylinders are well into your dick head, then you’ve probably been well sized and more will come back over time.

If memory serves me correctly most of my post-surgical return to normal happened between month 6 & month 12.

You’ve got 21 cm of implant. If your internal anatomy (ie depth of crus, how much of your cock is hidden behind pubic bone) is typical then you ought to expect a final result between 5.85” and 6.6” with 6.25” being most likely.

In the meantime do what you’re comfortable with. Don’t push yourself to where you hurt. By the same token don’t abstain and not make yourself feel good. Gentleness and no expectations ought to be your mantra.

Continued success, health, & good luck.

not to lower your expectation but 7 inches with a CX 21 is probably too much especially if you are measuring right now 4.5". The CX doesn't grow in length, hence the difference between deflated and inflated is usually maximum 0.5-1"

In my case I have the LGX 18+1 (that grows to a total of 22cm) and I am struggling to get back to my 5.5"
LGX 18 + 1, 90 cc. 2023/12
Pre-OP VED length: 5.5". Post-OP: 4". At 3 months post-op: 5".
Cycling with a lot of pain for the first 5 months, now improving
If you have a motorcycle or a bike stop using it (ED with motorcycle accident).

Based on what I experienced, it was a struggle in my first few weeks post surgery having sex. My wife looked at me and said, what you gonna do with that little thing. I was about 5 or so inches, after surgery. Just like you, I was at a full 7 inches, post surgery. When it shrinks from surgery, it's hard to orgasm with only 5 inches. I have been very lucky, it's growing back.....Now that I have learned to Cycle properly, about 3 times per day, thanks to my AMS Support Person, and Exercise, and use it everyday, things are looking up. So hang in there.....I too was very disappointed.

Thanks, guys. I am able to cycle a little more each day as the pain from it recedes and my abilities increase.

I guess I would not complain much if it got up past 6 inches. But who knows where the journey will take me? So I have months to go ...

The neuropathy does add a wrinkle into the sensation/orgasm piece. Only makes sense that, because it is to the extremities (hands, feet) that it also screwed up some nerves at my favorite extremity. So that will be a journey, too, as my body continues healing from the chemotherapy. Man, that stuff can really screw you up.

I was 6-7/8 with a timid rock hard on prior to implant. I got a 20 cm plus 1cm RTE. by 11-12 months I was right back to the same. You probably have 1/2” or more swelling still at the base of your dick. That and the break in could possible get you well into 6-1/2 or more.
I also lost some sensation after surgery and really struggled with climaxing. I think it’s because I probably went a little overboard with the VED for many months leading up to surgery. Sensation gradually got better after the initial year of pumping and perito exercises. Strange thing is now I’m over 2 years out and having issues with anticlactima again. Oh well, at least I have a rock hard unit to use and play with!
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!
