It's awesome to hear you had such a great experience. I've decided to go with Dt. Karaman myself. I was hesitant doing it in a foreign country, but with an insurance denial, it's the most economical option. I've sent him an email, but haven't gotten any reply. Can you, or anyone, answer a few questions I have please?

1. What did the total cost end up? Very curious since you literally just had the surgery and I doubt it has changed over the past couple days.

2. How long will you end up staying over there? Curious how long I'll have to take off work.

3. I've read that he doesn't recommend pumping until like 7 weeks. Any idea why? Dr Hakky had told me I should cycle as soon as possible.

4. Can you please DM me the office's Whatsapp info? It doesn't seem I'll get an email reply.

Thanks

Surgery was performed by Dr. Karaman on the 23rd of July:
-arrived in Istanbul on the 21st
-went to the hospital on the 22nd to talk to Dr Karaman, anesthesiologist and do blood tests
-Dr Karaman was extremely thorough, very attentive to all my concerns. While examining me, he noticed the pump issues, tubing and all else. During our long conversation he explained why he would use rigicon for my case, got me the implant so I could check it out, answered also the questions from his assistant Nasimi
-Nasimi’s presence was of great help, he asks questions like if he was part of the situation and really makes you feel like they care. One of the questions was whether the bovine pericardium would be used to graft to which Dr Karaman said very bluntly, we will have it ready and as soon as I’m there I will analyze the need
-went back to the hospital on the 23rd at 9am for the surgery, got to the room after a straight forward process handled by Nasimi and went under at 2:30pm
-surgery was scheduled for 2:30 hours, lasted 3:50 hours. “It was the most complex surgery in my 38 years” he said the day later. More to come…
-peryone’s + long term diabetes caused my tissues to thin out, added to it; the titan implant had deteriorated the situation and would push the implant out making a hole in the cavernosa. While at it, the Dr. mentioned that the pump was faulty and it wasn’t only the squeaking sound, it just wouldn’t deflate automatically
-the 16+2 titan 75ml was replaced by a 16+3 rigicon infla10x narrow body 110ml so it doesn’t push the cavernosa to rupture. No grafts were done, he mentioned that the graft would likely cause the same issue along with others and instead he layered the skin double closing the “wounded” part
-he managed to remove the original reservoir and put a new one

The differences so far:
-my scrotum is barely swollen; after my first surgery my wife told me it was the size of 2 avocados; I couldn’t even walk or sit down…
-my cock is barely bruised; after my first surgery it was quite the opposite
-bit of a pain where the new reservoir is; after my first surgery I had no pain
-same length as before surgery, 15,2cm! Considering this implant is a bit longer that means I can get something back of what was lost in the first surgery or so I hope!!! Bearing in mind I’m not fully inflated, I believe this assumption to be realistic
-girth cannot be compared yet as I’m not pumping this bad boy any time soon…

Takeaways:
-please guys, make sure you get a good doctor and the right device for yours; I will not get into the details of the consequences of my first surgery but the doctor in Brazil is someone I do not want ever to hear from again. Coloplast Titan, not even for free; my device had 3 distinct faults: herniation, pump and tubing

Early days still:
-Dr Karaman; 1000000% recommended, he really cares!
-Surgery in Turkey; make sure you get yourself planned, download food delivery apps and manage the frustration with staff that do not speak English, but other than that, straightforward, streamlined!
-Nasimi; his help is absolutely a must have in the package!

Worry not, I have had no issues with the arrangements here!

1- 9500USD for the revision itself; mine ended up being 12000USD because of some extra work done but I was warned in advance that the cost could go up to 15000USD depending on the test results and if grafting had to be done - Nasimi is very thorough on explaining the costs

2- you have 5 days of hotel covered in the cost; likely a day or 2 you will have to stay in the hospital so total 7. Because of my previous experience I had booked a different hotel for an extra 6 days - there is absolutely no need, I feel almost 100% now and it’s day 4!

3- my follow up is on Monday, will let you know what he says - right now I don’t want anyone touching my scrotum though lol

4- tried to DM but didn’t work; DM me and I will reply - originally I emailed/whatsapped Medistate hospital from their website and once they got back to me I asked for Nasimi, he whatsapped me 2 days after

Very good right up, just had my Titan replaced and it sounds a lot like some of my issues especially the dog ears and the bulge on the lower left side of my shaft, my pump still worked but the tubing got a hole in it. So far I am very happy with the AMS, keep us posted on the Rigicon since it is not allowed in the USA yet.

Thanks man! I just sent you a PM. It's sitting in the outbox. I'm assuming it will send...? I'm hoping so because I'm definitely ready to get this done and Dr Karaman seems like my guy. The accommodations being included is awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Just replied to your DM with Nasimi’s number.
Also mentioned it to him just now and he replied I’ll check for your email!

Best of luck man, I can’t really put into words how great things turned out.

Answering your previous question on the cycle:
- 3 weeks according to my pain levels (which are weirdly close to none) and because I have diabetes

Some other points worth noting:
- intercourse, 6 weeks, again due to diabetes
- gym, 4 weeks
- antibiotics, just finish the course I got when I left the hospital
- pain killers, the less the better and as mentioned I barely have any pain!
- staying more time, absolutely no need at all, though I had a complex revision and so on, I have been walking around, eating out and I’m ready to go home 1 day prior! Will spend the rest of the week exploring Istanbul now :)

I'm considering Karaman too when i need to have a revison.

How does the Rigicon pump feel to you? I read it's bigger than the Titan pump?

Speedy recovery!

Just tried to start cycles today… failed successfully lol

Pump is rock solid, don’t even know if I managed to pump, though I think I did, I couldn’t really feel the liquid running as back with Coloplast… the reason I say this is because the reservoir seems to be a bit more deflated, yes all is swollen but the reservoir site I can feel with my hands.

Now, it’s weird because I have 5 years of experience with coloplast so I can say I know the tricks about pumping… tried 1 hand, 2 hands and though I can press it though it’s super hard, I just don’t feel liquid moving…

The deflate button itself is another important point, for the best part of the last 2 hours I have been googling, feeling, pressing different spots and I just can’t deflate or even find the deflate button… image search seems to be an issue as there seems to be way too many different pumps being used.

And so, I’m sure all is ok and it’s just a stupid moment of mine but reached out to the doctor and am patiently waiting for instructions…
