Is the Titan deflated really bad. I see most revisions go from the Titan to Ams.

I’m glad both are an available and we have a choice between the two. Yes, the Titan is more rigid, but it is also more durable. The ams is softer and more natural, but more prone to cylinder leaks.

I would not necessarily say it is more durable overall. The cylinders are more durable, but the tubing is still a frequent point of failure for both implant models. Studies show their failure rates are similar - they just have different failure points. AMS has a more distributed cause of failure, Titan tends to fail around the tubing.

Its been about 17 months that I have my Titan. Must say that I am not exactly happy with the way flaccid feels like. It is more of an adjustment and a change of lifestyle required with it. My decision with replacement will depend on how long this one will work for. If it fails before 5 years (my own benchmark) I will try to get another Titan hoping the implant cost will be covered by Coloplast. Post 5 years, I will give a serious thought and evaluate AMS more seriously.

What lifestyle changes have you had to make to accomodate the flaccid Titan atul?

Minor adjustments like choice of clothing, boxers etc.
My biggest challenge is that I am a side sleeper and the implant is not v comfortable. The dog ear is prominent. I was always a grower and now with such a huge flaccid it is sometimes difficult. I am not exactly sure how AMS would be better than what I have but like I said, I will really evaluate once I reach the situation. For now I would like to forget I have an implant but it is just not possible with the current titan.

Are you still happy you chose to get an implant in general though atul? How bad was your ED beforehand?

My implant has been great and life changing. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. I would go for it again and again. My ED was terrible. If you read my journal you will know how much I suffered cos of it. To summarise I lost all my confidence, my marriage, career etc. due to it. Now I am free and I am healing!

I'm going for my 3rd Titan! I've been very happy and it works well for my relationship

Many of the comments about the downsides of Titan are real - dog-ears, hard to deflate, etc. But after settled in it has not been uncomfortable during day to day activities and really performs well in terms of rigidity. I usually never bring to 100% for penetrative intercourse (mostly 90%) otherwise it is just too hard.

I’m on my second Titan, and yes, I definitely know it’s there, but that’s fine with me. And there is no pain, except when cycling, as previously mentioned.
