intial visit with my Urologist

I am seeing a Urologist for the first time on Wednesday. I am going to see him about a Trimix prescription. I got my original batch from Olympia during my winter stay in AZ. So I pretty well versed on injections and such.
Is there anything else that I should be speaking with him about? I am 67 and in pretty good health. I don't want to miss any insights any of you can provide. Thanks in advance.

You might try to intuit how interested he is in treating ED, or are ED problems secondary to kidney stones, infertility, prostates, etc.

Was a bizarre meeting, the guy was young and very personable. He only asked what I wanted and that was a Trimix. Seems that the compounding pharmacies are always tinkering with the mix. Said it would be expensive in Canada. Still don't know what I will be paying as I will fill the prescription when I run out of the Olympia stuff.
Didn't ask me anything except if I smoke (gave it up in 1998) and how long I'd been married.
Nothing about nightime urination, or ordering a PSA test.

I said what if the Trimix stopped working, then he said we up the dose until it doesn't work and then put int he paperwork for an Implant. After a lot of what I have been reading on Franktalk, I think I would go Malleable. He was very negative on Malleable, as many of you have mentioned about North American doctors. What I was gobsmacked to find out is that the procedure is free in Canada, but the paperwork can take up to two years. I will take that into account when and if the Trimix seems to be failing in higher doses and get the jump on paperwork.

As others have mentioned, when visiting a doctor, you have to have done as much research as possible and know what you think you need. Write down a list of topics and take good notes. Don't know about Canadian doctors, but American doctors are under heavy time pressure to see as many patients per hour as possible; they don't have time to properly go into a complex ED problem unless you steer them.

It sounds like you’ve got a good handle on Trimix. I’d suggest asking about a PSA test and mentioning any nighttime urination, just to cover all the bases.
Also, checking your testosterone levels might be useful since that can impact ED and overall energy

Good call on thinking ahead about the implant process—starting paperwork early in Canada makes sense given the wait times. Let us know how it goes with the new prescription!
