In case you didn’t already know, Dr. Rafael Carrion is the highest volume malleable implanter in the U.S. He’s the top expert for malleable implants.

Everything is possible with penile implant surgeries. The doctor who told yoy it is not possible is a loser and the truth is it is possible but he doesn’t know ( THE EYES CANNOT SEE WHAT TGE MIND DOES NOT KNOW )

what a experience high volume urologist do in such cases, they implant narrow based or malleable implant just to treat the condition temporarily and help you get good 24 hrs erect on demand penis for some months or years then with the daily cycling and use they can replaced with larger girth , length because the initial implant worked as a tissue expander.

If you are in usa or can manage to have your surgery there ( which I recommend)

Go to Dr eid in new york or dr calvello or dr robert valenzela or kramar in atlanta

Your penis is highly valuable to you mr live as a man

I will echo what others have already said.
Also, you MUST be your own advocate.

After my urologist of 14 years told me ALL my issues were because I had gained weight, I knew he was totally fucking wrong!
My testosterone was falling like a rock. It dropped to 93 total and 8 free testosterone by the time I found an excellent endocrinologist to treat me. My then PCP, cardiologist, and the urologist of 14 years were not concerned.

A new PCP said everything was in my head. I immediately thought to myself, this doctor is useless so onward to the next. I finally found a really excellent PCP that listened and supported me going forward to regain health.

I hated to change from my cardiologist that treated me after a heart attack; however, I think my new cardiologist is more on top of treating me.

I have not gotten my implant yet; however, I have consulted with a high volume implant specialist and will be scheduling it February 2025 if I don’t do it sooner.
I just started injections this past Wednesday and I am still increasing the dose to see if it will even work.
If I don’t respond sooner vs later then my decision to get implanted will be made for me.

Since 5/2023 I have changed every doctor I used to trust, I even changed my dentist.
YOU must educate yourself and be your own advocate!
I used to blindly trust my doctors which I think cost me dearly in terms of my quality of life.

BTW, I am not a big fan of HMOs or managed care arrangements. Those systems maximize their profits by not treating the patient. In those situations you are screwed over and it is even more important to be your own advocate.

I 2nd using Dr. Carrion at USF in Tampa ... not a fan of some of his practices but if he is the one doing your surgery and not one of his residents you can't be in better hands.

You are the perfect patient for a top surgeon. One that has seen some problem cases. Its likely that your proximal tissue has filled with scar tissue. Scar tissue is your bodies natural reaction to injury. I have read of several members that have had their proximal cavities cut down through the scar tissue. Then an appropriate implant is then placed. This isn't a common surgery but it is done by the drs that specializes in tough cases.

It sounds like you haven't actually talked to an IPP surgeon. If you had of seen one he would of told you about these methods. Now just maybe he doesn't do that procedure but he knows that it is done.

Quit going to a local dr, even if he is well regarded. I'm guessing but I bet there is maybe 20 to 30 drs in the USA that can work on your condition. You need to find one. It only takes finding one of them to get you fixed up.

Btw, tell your IPP dr about your injury. And for heavens sake, don't do it anymore.

I agree with GT ....you need to set up an appointment and consultation with 1 of the 4 " Mount Rushmore " of penile implant specialists. The high volume they do will only benefit you . They've seen it all and will know how to attack your special situation. Don't ever give up .

Seeing a general urologist for a penile prosthesis consult is like seeing a primary care physician for complex cardiac issues—you need a fancy super specialist high volume penile prosthetic urologist blah blah blah...

As Dr. Eid said, your penis with a prospective implant is like a Ferrari, and don't take him to a general mechanic for servicing.

For starters who can't go to the hakkys, eids, peritos and clavells, as a second-tier option, I would only consider those who have the Coloplast or Boston Scientific "Center of Excellence" seal (see below links and only a few have that seal) for treating erectile dysfunction.

Coloplast device specialists:

AMS device specialists:

I quoted the wrong post .... I agree with last hope.

I think we are all bombarding the original poster with the same advice in different ways.

I think he agrees that giving up is not really a viable course of action.

If we knew what part of the country (we’re not stalkers, don’t need physical address, but knowing state or get real location might help in directing traffic.)

Multiple things can be true at same time. Remember, I’m a retired Army guy. I fight my battles on multiple fronts.

I get my medical records. To include imaging. I make multiple copies. I put the images on thumb drives or CDs. I send them out with a cover letter to the heavy hitters: Eid, Hakky, Clavell. You also occasionally hear Perito, Kramer.

I look at where I am. I look to see if there are Titan or AMS centers of excellence in driving range. If so I go get a consult with one or more of them. I had my implant, albeit I didn’t have the OP’s complicating factors, done by one of those guys (Bryan Kansas in Austin). I’m not sure there is an appreciable drop off in surgical skill between tier one and tier two.

As surgeries go dissection of the corpora cavernosa with a clean out of scar tissue/fibrosis doesn’t sound that tough. Granted, it’s not stitching up a hernia or yanking out tonsils but it isn’t a heart transplant either.

I guess what I’m trying to say is since the OP is wisely electing not to give up, we all recommend that he take positive actions on several different fronts concurrently to find the right answer and the right doctor.
Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

My first trip to a uro i went to a very experienced 62 year old doc in the dallas tx area. He said sex twice a week sex was enough and that i am too young to implant. Then said i would lose 1-2 inches in length. All false, sex daily is much better and i gained a half inch. I take the doc as a lazy fucking idiot. But…..
People are people, you get good ones and people that are just good at taking tests and writing papers.

I would recommend a clavell or eid remote consultation.
