I have the exact same "issue" with my tubing. Fortunately, it has not been a problem for sex or daily life, it's just a cosmetic issue for me.
I think it might not be good for the longevity of the tubing though. Could be less of an issue with the AMS, because of the stronger tubing.

Wish you a speedy recovery

wolfpacker wrote:Hey all, I'd been really uncomfortable with my titan for a while now (been a little over 3 years since I got it) and even made a couple posts here about it. Very uncomfortable/painful folds (which I believe caused thinning of my tissue over time) and also think Dr Eid may have slightly oversized me since I always had pain in the right tip, exacerbated by a prominent curve to the left. He originally put in a 24cm cylinder on that side but cut it down to 23cm, which hints to me that he realized he should've gone a little shorter (probably should've done 21cm + a couple RTE).

I ended up getting a revision to AMS on August 12th and I'm now 1 week into recovery. The AMS is immediately SO much more comfortable and natural than the Titan when flaccid (doc told not to inflate until our 2 week follow up) and things are healing well. Pain is pretty much gone. The one bummer I've noticed so far is that my pump & tubing are in a pretty weird position. Tubing protrudes out the front of my ballsack and pump points backward, behind the balls. Gonna be tougher to work this pump than my old one that was pointed forward.

I'm a little concerned about the way the tubing protrudes, but I'll live with it if necessary. Anyone else have tubing stick out the front of their ballsack like this? Pic for reference. In the pic you can see the tubing coming down from the base of my shaft, bulging out of the ballsack and then looping back in towards my taint to connect with the pump.

Thanks all!!

so with AMS, pump/cylinders are less reliable but tubing isn't an issue like with the Titan?

Ditto with the Titan tubing. I have a marble size lump of tubes at the bottom left of my shaft as well. Don’t know if is a design or installation issue. I would be concerned about the cosmetics, but my penis overall looks like it was run over by a semi so the lump is secondary.

OP did you have a penoscrotal or infrapubic operation for the revision?

Is this from the operations?

Interesting discussion. I've had an AMS700 for 18 months. After the implant there was a coil of tubing in my scrotum, literally 360 degrees, I knew this wasn't supposed to be and I convinced the doctor to remove some of it. (He's a reputable high volume uro). There still is apparent tubing that I would say is like yours in the picture. I was a grower (not a shower) so I have wavy cylinders when I'm deflated, I have always been unsatisfied that I can't have a flaccid penis, it always wants to stick a little forward, but the sex is great. The reservoir can be uncomfortable in pants, it rubs the scrotal skin against underwear. I don't think I'm offering anything here except to say, I assume that some tubing is going to be noticed. Where else would it go? You didn't have tubing with a Titan? I'm small, 15 + 2, had lost some size during ED, but it works!

I heard through the grapevine that AMS manufactures its tubing in-house, whereas Titan outsources its tubing. Titan’s weak point is the tubing, while AMS’s weakness lies in the cylinders—a blessing in disguise due to the comfort they offer in the flaccid state.

I hope they fixed the pump, seen too many failures on FT.

wolf, you're the first one I've seen here on FT that had the titan for 3 years (long enough to get used to) and still felt uncomfortable, had to get a revision. Have you seen anyone else (other than people complaining about dog ears)? I was considering a titan but now worried about this kinda discomfort for so long. Was it at least not bothersome with a few pumps in?
