Variation on when to start cycling

Postby wolfpacker » Fri Aug 30, 2024 2:08 pm

There is a massive variation in when different surgeons have you begin cycling. My original surgeon Dr Eid had my cycling on day 3, this current surgeon who just did a revision is having me wait 6 weeks. Anyone know why the difference? Do you think something is actually different physically between surgeons or are some more risk averse than others?

My surgeon in Miami had me wait 6 weeks also. His NP at two weeks pumped it up to make sure it was ok, but immediately deflated. Said if my wife could do oral without pumping it up was ok at two weeks. Surgeon had over 5,000 IPP surgeries. Great final result.

My revision the Dr told me the same, wait 6 weeks, well being that the revision was so much easier to deal with than the original I did cycle after 10 days but I took it easy, first sex was a 2-3.weeks. now after 2 months it's like nothing at all was done except that it works again.
