How has your life changed outside of the bedroom?
I'm still trying to negotiate a surgery date and insurance details. But I'm curious — beyond the bedroom, how has your life changed with an implant? Can you still do ordinary athletic things like run, ride a bicycle, lift weights without issue, etc.? I'm also curious about how your psychology and general confidence may have changed as a result of the implant. I'm a pretty athletic guy and would be a bit remiss if I had pain or discomfort while riding a bicycle or lifting weights.
34 years old. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Some luck with pills until recently. Injections worked but were very hit or miss with me. Scheduled for a malleable (Tactra) in December 2024.

I'm definitely a lot less active now unfortunately, for me it's very much less comfortable to lift weights or do cardio like running or elliptical. Your natural penis has the amazing ability to shrink and squish out of the way during activities but the implant is much stiffer and longer. I saw in your signature you're interested in a malleable implant, I think that would be even far more uncomfortable for being very active.
I certainly don't regret it one bit but I think it's an important trade off to be aware of.

I’m only a bit over three months post-op, but I’m fine for all that stuff, and I’m surprised to see wolfpacker day he’s not. Maybe it’s a difference between the flaccid state of the AMS vs. Titan? I don’t know, but I’m fine with exercise. The only minor annoyance is my doc admits my pump hangs a little low in my sack, so it gets more contact than I suppose is normal… but I barely notice it.
There has been a hugely positive impact on my confidence. It’s mostly my sexual confidence… the guaranteed rock-hard dick has upped my game when it comes to getting women into bed. And getting laid regularly -and the ladies loving it - has a huge impact on my overall confidence and wellbeing.
Overall I’d say the very minor discomforts are an extremely small price to pay.

49. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.
Re: How has your life changed outside of the bedroom?
Nothing has changed at all for me. As a matter of fact I'm far more active post-implant than I was pre-implant. I ride a bike at least 50 miles a week, work out in the gym with free and machine weights 3 days a week. There is nothing my implanted penis has kept me from doing, I don't even think about it.
I believe that too many men don't put as much focus on the flaccid state as they should. They're either not offered a choice or are blinded by the "Titan" name. It's widely accepted that the AMS product has a much better flaccid state, which is likely what your penis will be in for 98% of the rest of your life.
For me in terms of my penis itself and everyday life, it's no different than my natural penis, except this one works on command and until I turn it off.

I‘m an active long distance runner. No problem in this department. I run at least every second day around 15-20 km per run and it’s all fine.

Work is a lot tougher. It brushes against stuff all time on construction sites. Climbing into scissor lifts and picking up heavy material has become a lot more difficult

I’m retired now have the AMS CX model. I’m actually more active than before I e list a 100 pounds, bike, elliptical, free weights, machine weights, swimming.
I haven’t really had any issues the only thing with me that changed is I wear a jock under all my work out gear except my Speedo.
When wearing my cycling shorts or really anytime im riding my bike I pull everything forward and up it just more comfortable for me. I also got a saddle with a split nose it’s really a split saddle in away.
Just so I’m not bulging so much I tuck everything down in my Speedo.
Regular work gear depends on what I’m doing pull everything up and front other times tuck down.
Just work with it to find what is comfortable.
About the only thing I miss over a natural penis is seeing it get bigger as it gets hard.

Duke, I'm 66, I got my implant back in 2021 when I was 63. I'm an avid road bike cyclist averaging 3 to 6 thousand miles a year on my bike. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep doing my hobby and I talked to several patient champions with AMS 700 products. After surgery, I ordered a no nose seat for my bike, but when I started riding around 4 weeks after surgery the no nose seat was awful because all of your sit bones have to be on top of the seat rather than the bones hugging the seat. After a couple more weeks of disappointment, I put my old ISM PL 1.1 seat back on and I didn't have any problems. I thought my third nut would get in the way while on the seat, but it finds its place and I've never had any problems since. I can feel it every once in a while but very rare.
I've heard that Boston Scientific AMS 700 LGX and CX have better and stronger tubes that connect everything, so it is rare to have tubes that rub against each other and leak.
I'm willing to take that chance and if it does happen I plan on getting a revision.
One of the patient champions that I talked to who was a cyclist had his AMS 700 LGX for 15 years and when his stopped working, he got another one.
I need to get back in the gym to get stronger, I've heard that no one has had problems with lifting weights.
I hope I helped, if you want to know more about cycling, send me a PM

Adding a link to the saddle I use on my Road Bike. it is very comfortable, I've ridden a 110 mile ride with this saddle.

Re: How has your life changed outside of the bedroom?
My life returned to normal, with a small change. I've had my implant for a few years now, and I am able to do everything as I did before. I'm active like before with no issues.
I bike (I never sit, or sit at an angle if I do), run, wrestle, lift, swim, etc., with no problems. I am sure to be careful with my stuff down there. At first, it was an adjustment for about half a year, but once everything really settled in, everything went back to normal. With that being said, I think that my pump is kind of high and tight inside of my body (thanks doc).
Confidence wise, it's a little bit different. Before, I never once had any problem with getting it up or keeping it up, but I was still nervous about it. I would last for more an hour. Now, I have no anxiety that I won't perform. It doesn't even enter my mind in any negative way. The difference for me personally is that I lost some girth. I was very girthy before, and now, I guess I'm normal in that sense lol
