Sensation in Penis after surgery

Postby sandy1258 » Fri Mar 07, 2014 1:50 pm

I had surgery on the 11th of Dec 2013 and when I had the ok to have intercourse I did but it appeared that the sensation was gone. I email the Dr and he said the sensation would be back. It's not yet. I am wondering if anyone else has heard or experienced this and if so how long does it take to regain feeling. If you can't get sensation why have the surgery. It's to expensive to not enjoy it.

I hope someone answers you Sandy because I would be as disappointed as you with no sensation. I am still on pills but constantly studying the ultimate solution here, so I would like also to see other men who have had an implant chime in here. Come on fellas.

Sandy,
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy February 2004.
To address your question, personally, I have had full sensation in my penis since about 6 weeks after my December 2007
Titan Implant and my wife and I have been totally enjoying it for the past 6+ years.
Wishing the same for you my friend.
Bob

Took me a while longer to get full sensation back - at six weeks I had partial, full was by about ten weeks.

I had my first implant in 2010. I kept that one for 9 months and sensation still hasn't returned. I do believe that some nerves were cut or damaged irreparably in my case. I can pinch the right side of my glans to the point of bleeding and feel nothing.

Guys,

I had surgery on August 6, 2013 and am just now starting to get some sensation in my penis glans. I was told it might take up to a year to regain normal sensation. I sure hope it does so soon because although intercourse if fun in itself, it sure would be nice to be able to ejaculate. The same holds true during masturbation...it takes a long time (30 minutes or more) to get to the point of ejaculation.

I still trust the doctor's advise to keep trying and eventually things will return to a more normal state.
