Trimix first appointment results

Postby roy123 » Mon Oct 07, 2024 5:37 pm

hi all

just wanted to share results of the first trail today

tried 5 units. mix is 45mcg alprosdadil, 30 mg papverine plus phentolamine 2mg/ml (2ml vial)

i got a partial erection for 1 hour. on erection scale the rating was 5.5 to 6. initially in the first 10 min i got erection and the nurse was around checking. but in another 20 minutes it got harder as i tried stimulating myself sexually and thinking about sex. however i want to reach a stage where it is harder automatically without arousal. my problem is performance anxiety and my arousal shifts and i dont want to risk a partial erection by trimix and leave some for it to pick up from arousal

the nurse said they are aiming for 9 or 10 hence ill be given 10 units on wednesday.

is a jump from 5 to 10 too much here or should i ask the doctor to try 7.5 instead?

Please advise

also i noticed that i had a very slight discomfort while having that erection

is this something that will go away over time?

i am 39 fit muscular. no histroy of any cardivascular issues or other health issues. iron level is low but i am working on improving that by eating more beef. prolactin and harmones and testerone are normal.

thanks

I think since you're doing it in the doctors office and monitored in the office it would be safe enough. That's certainly a stronger mix than you mrntioned previously.

thanks. yes i got this done from a reputed mens sexual health clinic in canada rather than a urogolist from USA who was prescribing me 10 units to start with 8.33 mcg Alprostadil (also known as Prostaglandin E-1 or PGE1) / 0.83 mg Phentolomine / 22.5 mg Papaverine.

i understand that the mix i got yesterday for 5 units was stronger than what the urogolist proposed. however do you think that it is generally stronger or is it only in comparison to what the urogolist proposed?

also is it right to assume that 10 units of a weaker mix can be equal to 5 units of a stronger mix?

OK, I think I need to place a reminder here that I don't know shit. I'm just an old retired guy with absolutely no medical or scientific background typing on my computer when I should be out making sure my generator starts. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice. And remember, internet forum advice is generally worth what you pay for it or worse.

The original mix the doctor suggested was a weak starter mix, which is usually a good idea. The clinic started you on what I'd call a standard mix although they can get much stronger. You survived your trial injection with that standard mix from the clinic. I'm surprised that your reaction to the mix wasn't stronger since you are believed to have psychogenic ED. So, you managed to dodge a bullet and skipped several steps in the process. But you can now move on from that point as you continue to search for the proper mix and dose for you (Drug Titration).

Yes the clinic mix is much stronger than the one the doctor suggeted. Titration of the ICI (Intracavernosal injection) mixes of Bi-mix/Tri-mix/Quad-mix is a bit like alchemy. What the results from any mix will be can be different for every man. What mixes are available are based on the script the doctor writes and to a fairly large degree what mixes the larger compounders decide to make and offer.

I don't think you can accurately predict what mix will be exactly twice as strong as another. The different components can all have different rates of increasing effect to mix percentage ratios.

You need to also remember that these multi ingredient mixes are supposed to have a synergestic effect. (Synergism: when the combined effect of two or more drugs is greater than the sum of their effects when given separately.) So you have 2 to 4 drugs that each have their own effects on you and as well have the potential to increase the the effect of the other individual components of the mix.

So you can see what I mean when I say it's like alchemy. It's very handy to have a doctor that has a true interest in this stuff and keeps up with it as opposed to a doctor that just dabbles with it as part of a much bigger practice. Otherwise it really is a crap shoot.

I've never had one of those rare interested doctors and have just stumbled along on my own and I've largely educated my GPs/PCPs (General Practioner/Primary Care Povider) sufficiently to get what I want prescribed. Not an ideal situation but it's what it is. I'm on my 4th GP/PCP that I've educated for my needs. I'm currently again without a urologist. My 1st one retired, my 2nd one I didn't like so I found a 3rd I liked. Then he retired. None were well versed in ICI (Intracavernosal injection) meds but being a PC survivor I also have other Uro. needs.

I hope all of that was clear enough.

Thanks so much for this information

hopefully 10 units tomorrow will work for me to get a hard erection (at least 8 on erection scale). i am just hoping to get at least 20 to 30 minutes. hopefully in the right sexual setting it will get harder and ill be relaxed.
