Btw I noticed in your signature that you went from 23 cm to 18cm with 5 rte. The implant has a tube that goes from the inflatable shaft inside your penis to the reservoir. Does having 5 rte not cause the inflatable shaft to move further forward, therefore causing the tubing to move forward and become more exposed/visible in your pubic area or the rear of the penis? Does that not cause discomfort? If so, why did the Dr not give you a 21cm implant with 2 rte?

You know I cannot really answer this question, I know everyone is different and yes I agree it would allow the cylinder connection to not be so far back. The reservoir, my surgeon removed the original and put the AMS in, he along with my original surgeon told me that the original reservoir will probably stay in along with the AMS reservoir because they both thought that it would have attached itself internally but the AMS surgeon said he would look at it when he went in and said if he could he would remove it, that he did, so just the AMS is left in me. No discomfort whatsoever, I did measure today and it remains the same, length is 6", girth is 5" at the head to 5 7/8" at the base,

Do you remember doing some activity that caused it to leak? Mine worked fine weeks ago, the only thing I did in between is started squats and lower body exercises at the gym. Could that have caused it to leak?

Also, what happened in your case when it leaked? Did they change the whole implant system? How was your recovery?

Good morning Indusvalley, No, I had did nothing different, I was going to the bedroom with my wife and I pumped and it went up to about 50%then my bulb would go flat and I would release the fluid and try pumping again. The pump eventually just would pump nothing maybe 1 squeeze and remain flat. So, I went to my urologist as quick as I could get in and he told me most likely a hole in the tubing somewhere and would need a complete revision, this was in March of this year. He said he would recommend the AMS LGX. OK, I am going to skip alot here but I found another urologist and researched him the best I could as well as the hospital and the AMS LGX, spoke with all mfgs of the implants. This surgeon went in and found the tubing going to my left cylinder had a hole in it, do not know how just something Coloplast is known for when reading the forums, tubing is their weak point. Let me tell you this, the revision was nothing like the original implant, I never took any pain pills when I got home, it was out patient surgery, so I was back home in a few hours after the surgery. I was walking 2 days after the surgery a mile or more. Everyone that I have read about who has had revision surgery say that it nothing like the original, believe it. I am very happy with the AMS LGX and if it should fail I would go get another one..

Since you had both the titan and the lgx, you are one of the few people in the world who tried both implants. Which one do you like more and why?

Hello Discover. I as well as the wife like the AMS better than the Titan, it is more natural feeling per the wife, flaccid is much better as I have no dog ears and it has no crinkly/plastic feeling. I also have no squeak when I am pumping, the Titan sounded like a dogs squeaky toy when pumping, my wife would hear it and laugh about getting her squeaky. The AMS so far has been quiet, no squeaks yet. Now if all I could get was the Titan, I would be a happy squeaker, as long as it's erect and can have sex.

Amazing feedback! Thank you so much, its rare to see someone who tried both implants.

By the way, your size with the Coloplast and with the LGx is exactly the same? No changes whatsoever?

None what so ever, now when I initially went in for the evaluation of a failed Titan I saw my original surgeon, he told me that with the new revision you may can get a larger implant installed but we will have to wait and see when the surgery is taking place, I went to another surgeon who I used said the same thing but will also have to do his measurements when he was in there, well I stayed the same which was fine with me. I see that you just had an implant, is it a Rigicon? How do you like it? I did call them as well when I was going through the initial failure but they didn't have the 3 piece yet approved here in the USA only the malleable.

Yes it is not approved in USA yet. That will take a while.
I am only 3 weeks since my implant, I have a floppy glans which worries me a lot. Except for that the rest seems to be going according to plan. (other than I am at least 1 inch shorter that I've been told I will get back over time).

But the floppy glans really worries me. The implant does not go into the glans at all. I've been told to wait at least 3 months before making any conclusions.

What I like about the AMS is that so far it doesn't have the dog ears but it has only been just over 4 months. Also it doesn't have the crinkle feel like the Titan had. My wife says it feels natural now and enjoys the sex. Don't get me wrong, the Titan worked and I loved it when it did work, it sure as hell beats a dick that just lays there.. but so far I and my wife like the AMS better.
I never asked about the warranty being that it lasted 5 yrs, I think I still would have been on the hook for both the surgeon and hospital, talk with your surgeon about that. You said you went to Dr Hakkey, he certainly can advise you on what options you have. Hope this helps and hope you can get yours replaced very soon.

Hi Wilsonmill,

Did your wife enjoy the sex less when you had the Titan? What aspect of it made her enjoy it less? If it was the hardness, couldn’t you just not pump it to 100%, or was the issue something else? Thank you.

Hopefully you will be fine, I have read that Cialis or Viagra can help with getting the blood flow into the glans. I take it occasionally and can see and feel the difference. You are still in recovery mode, hopefully all works and you can have a great sex life.

Hello ReturntoCenter. With the Titan she was fine with it pumped up and after 30 mins or so she would start to hurt, especially when I was really enjoying it while burying it as deep as I could. There was a bulge on the lower left base of my shaft, it was the tubing bunched up there and I could feel the connector splitting the fluid to each cylinder, at least that's what I feel it was. I would have to put more lube on and occasionally let some fluid out . Now when it came to receiving orally I would only do 70% or so. This AMS so far has had none of these issues but when it comes to orally I only pump 70% or so..still the same there. Hope it answers your question

I have a quick question for those who have a coloplast implant - after pumping when my dick gets 50% inflated, I am unable to pump further. My pump gets stuck in squeezed state. When I deflate it, my pump returns back to normal. What could be the issue and is there a way to solve this?

Hi Indus,

Thanks for logging in again. Sorry to hear about you stuck pump. Sounds like a leakage to me. Did you get the OTR or the Classic Genesis pump? I have read that the OTR had some manufacturing issues. Dr. Eid doesn't use them anymore. Have PM'ed you about wanting to discuss your Titan experience with Dr. Hakky. I'm trying to decide between Clavell/Hakky and CX vs Titan. Your girth and mine are about the same. You mention in this thread that you may want to choose an LGX now. Could you please elaborate your experience with your titan? Any particular issues you had that would make you want to go for an LGX now.
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant.

Hey! I didn't receive your PM. Regarding your questions, I was expecting the Titan to fail after 10 years, not in 4 years. So that's why I mentioned moving to LGX out of frustration because wilsonmill above went from Titan to LGX and is happy. I also haven't come across as many complains on this forum with LGX or CX over here compared with Titan. Maybe I am wrong?

If my Coloplast is under warranty, then I would stick with that since I pay out of pocket, and replacement will be free. I asked Dr. Hakky, and he said, "Yes, if there is a defect, it is covered under warranty." So, I will likely stay with Coloplast. I think moving to AMS would mean paying out of pocket again, which I do not want to do right now. I am confused what to do, so talking to him next week would clear my mind.

Yes, it's definitely a leakage according to Dr Hakky but I am not sure if it is due to the pump or reservoir. Dr Hakky said their sonographer will do the scan and find out where the issue is. Regarding which pump I have, I have the Titan Touch implant. Now I am not sure which pump was used but I will ask him next week when I visit him.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.
