is LGX even worth it?
Re: is LGX even worth it?
FinallyBionic, are you waiting a second or two for the bulb to refill. It almost sounds like what you think are full pumps aren't full pumps. I only gently hold my bulb after each pump so it gets the max fill.

Sometimes, I do it slowly taking sometime between squeezes, but that doesn't change anything.

Dr.Hakky posted a video today where he gives his thoughts on cylinders pro and cons etc.
I saw it on his YouTube channel Tariq Hakky
It may help you understand the process your doctor will use to decide.

Thank you all for the detailed replies. I think I just need to stop overthink it. It's easy to get in your own head especially with surgery just 10 days away, but i just need to trust the doctor and let him do his thing.
55 year old divorced 10 years, now with new partner, struggling with ED. Tried pills, injections, shock therapy. Interested in implant. Scheduled for AMS with Dr. Patel San Diego in Jan 2025.

Based on my stretch length of 13.25 cm (pubic bone pressed in to tip), dr thought i might be around 21 cm or maybe more of implant. He mentioned that the LGX is the workhorse between 18-21 cm, but in those men that need 21 cm or more implant he prefers the CX. When asking why, he feels it does more more rigidity compared to the LGX at the 21 cm size, and one of the reasons that at the 24 cm measurement then don't have LGX, only CX. I didn't really understand all of this until I did the background research, and now I'm opt to tell him that i just want the CX no matter what.
What y'all think? Am I overthinking this and should I just like the doctor do what he does??

Leave it up to Dr. Patel. Had my surgery in June and now 6 months out, I'm so grateful for the implant. I have AMS CX 21. It functions great. It was a challenge figuring it out myself in the first few weeks, but it all worked out. In terms of size, I have my pre surgery size and maybe some more. There is also no guess work if the pills are going to work.
65 with ED for >10 years. Failed pills, not happy with injections. Implanted 6/24/24 (AMS CX 21 cm) with Dr Darshan Patel at UCSD.
