I was expecting there to be pain, but I basically didn't feel it at all. I was shocked. He said I'm healing really well and that I should be good to have sexual activity in about 10 days. I'm going to wait a full 2 weeks, but then I think I'll be mentally ready for this big change in my life. I'm in a weird position where I can't wait, but I'm also not totally prepared, yet!

I follow up in July with the surgeon's office. So happy that things seem to be going so well!

Day 35. I think I might have overdone things on the treadmill (incline walking) yesterday. I'm a little sore this evening. Nothing bad, just soreness. It made me a little depressed, but I'm also under a lot of stress with work which I think is contributing. Things are still good. I'm looking forward to the next month, when hopefully things will feel even more normal!

Yeah Duke, I remember we went to Austin, Texas at 4 weeks after my surgery for a get away while I was still healing and my wife asked if I thought I could do some long walks along Lady Bird Lake, I felt good while walking, but boy did I pay for it back at the resort trying to sit in any chair without pain. After that incident of over doing it, I started taking baby steps to get back to exercise.

Hang in there, it gets better every week.

Take it slow, brother. Soon it will feel like a natural part of your body. Has your incision fully closed, or is it still in the process of fusing together?

Thank you for this anecdote. I think I got a bit over my skis here. Sitting was indeed a challenge, I had to find the right posture for any given 30 minute period, and the "right way" to sit kept changing. Need to be kinder to myself! Instead of incline walking, going to think about using the recumbent bicycle to get some cardio exercise. The recumbent machine in my building is great because there's a little shelf for a book or a tablet.

The incisions have fully closed (or just nearly). There's just a couple very small scabs left, and I'm waiting for those to fall off. There is one tiny suture thread sticking out on the "rear end" of the subcoronal incision on the right side of my glans, but I think it's the only straggler left.

Good to know. Are you circumcised, Duke?
I also got a sub-coronal incision, but I'm uncircumcised.

Yes, I am circumcised. Are you experiencing any issues with blood buildup and what-not within your foreskin? Hoping you're having an easy go of it.

Anybody have any ideas of underwear to buy that either doesn't have the hole in the front or is more accommodating to implanted penises? Can't recall what the opening in traditional boxer briefs is called. The seam along the front of my boxer briefs is causing irritation on my urethra and glans...

Another consideration is pants — my jeans are too tight in the crotch area. I knew this would happen, but feeling it is entirely a different story.
