New drug development - LIB-01

Postby Mazzio » Fri Dec 27, 2024 11:53 am

Dicot Pharma in Sweden is developing a new drug for ED.

https://www.dicotpharma.com/en/the-phar ... te-lib-01/

The last time we waited 5 years for new drug and we got Eroxon. A placebo that does not help anybody. Hopefully we now get something better.
65 yrs, had venous leak all my life, sildenafil and other pills don't work anymore properly, using Caverject with pills.

Sounds interesting, from further research I have seen this is "Bark" related. Wonder what tree?

Fascinating info, I had no idea. Let's keep an eye on this new treatment.

Not.to bash nature but every time I hear the word 'bark' I just think of those nonsense natural remedies and rubbish like Yohimbe bark.

Lots of different medications and products are used as tree bark. Xylitol was discovered by Finnish scientists during the war to provide a sweetener in the absence of sugar. Great thing is that Xylitol has one less carbon atom than all sugar products meaning it was highly anti bacterial and actually prevents cavities.

Lets hope for a new generation of ED drugs that work without side effects and that last longer for ED than the inhibitors to date.

There should theoretically be a huge market for an ED medicine with the efficiency of injections but the ease of pills.

It's frustrating that every current treatment has a major drawback.

Imagine how much we would pay for a drug that almost certainly gave you a great erection that you don't have to inject.

And that would go away in a couple of hours.

Pycnogenol, an extract of bark from the French maritime pine, is currently used to treat ED, could this be it? Maybe one of the ingredients?

Combination therapy may be a brilliant solution: if ED is a multifactorial condition, it makes perfect sense to combine different treatments. Several clinics are doing it.

In my case, I've been doing this for several years, with excellent results: I combine a PDE-5 inhibitor (udenafil), alpha blocker (oral phentolamine) and anxiety supplement (Seredyn), these drugs work sinergistically.
