Did you not bother with it at all?

LGXDownunder, no reps per day

That thing is like a torture device, the ridges on the outside of the pump bulb hurt like heck when you squeeze it. That's the way it was in my scrotum too, the ridges hurt when I first started trying to get a few sneak squeezes in at 4 weeks. It even hurt at 6 weeks when I had my device training after they deflated me and I had to inflate it some; I only got in 10 pumps before I had to stop.

After the surgical capsule forms around the pump, it is very comfortable and it doesn't hurt. It's amazing that they can get that big ole thing in your small scrotum with the other two boys.

Boston Scientific use to have an instructional video for the MS pump, showing you different methods to pump, but I guess they took it off the internet, it was a very good video.

I pump with my right hand index finger knuckle and the lower part of my thumb to squeeze the pump so that you are using your forearm muscles rather than just finger muscles.

Good Luck Downunder,
SWorks

Thanks again SWorks. Waiting to see if someone says they've done 500 reps in a day
Yes it looks positively evil. I was wondering about pressing on those ridges inside the scrotum.
I can feel everything in there now, as the swelling has pretty much completely gone. Everything hurts more as a result though.
Can't wait until the surgical capsule finally forms and things start to feel more normal.
I'm able to identify the pump, block and button easily when I feel around in my ball sac, as well as some of the tubing attached.
That's a good point about using forearm muscles, I'll try it with the toy pump.
If you still have the URL for that video it's sometimes possible to use the internet archive to unearth one or more instances.

I’m at 1 1/2 years since surgery. Penoscrotal incision, AMS700. My “activation” had a less than desirable outcome, since the physicians assistant attempted to do it. She wasn’t as adept and experienced as I would have preferred.
Each time she grabbed the bulb to pump, she’d inadvertently pinch a nerve between the bulb and her finger, which hurt like hell! She decided that I still had inflammation and put off the activation. I came home and decided to take the bull by the horns, so to speak. I read and re-read the instructions, watched videos, and examined the key ring toy very closely. Little by little I was able to look at the thing, feel around in my scrotum and locate that very illusive deflate button, as well as get acquainted with the bulb. By the next day, I was able to actually achieve a few pumps and deflate when done. It took lots of practice , though, since the scrotum was still healing from the trauma. All of us will attest to the fact that once you get the hang of it, it’s all systems go.
I use my left hand to pump, using two fingers and the ball of my thumb to achieve erection. I sometimes use my right hand, if the left one hurts.
Happy to help any brothers who need help figuring it out. Welcome to the bionic brotherhood.
I wish you all many happy erections.

When I deflated which was a pain to figure out at the beginning I found that using my fingertips and pressing real hard deflates it easily. I looked at and used the keychain thing quite often and watched videos over and over when I had trouble inflating and especially deflating. Over time it becomes real easy to do.

Thanks Alex. I was playing around with the toy pump yesterday using a fingertip technique.
I'm expecting the real thing to be awkward initially but hopefully improving as I get used to it.

I always found the buttons hard to find but kept at it and at it and at it over and over. Id watch videos of inflating or deflating while standing up trying to find those damn buttons. I was hopeless many a night but as I had said before and elsewhere that once you get it you'l be well on your way. GL and I'm always around should you have any questions.

Meagle, we have the exact same implant and the exact same size with the same rear tip extenders. I didn't have any problem with a curve, was the LGX able to straighten your dick out?

I can get 25 full pumps for 90 percent hardness, and then after a few minutes I can get 5 or 6 more partial pumps getting to 100 percent hardness. If I pump too much, maybe around 7 or 8 more partial pumps after 25, my glans will start hurting after 45 minutes. But my wife likes it super hard, so I try to please her :!:

Thanks for the welcome and advice Mijudac79. That activation does sound painful . I've gotten to know my uro's practice nurse really well since my RRP. She is very experienced and among other things showed me how to do cavernosal injections when I went down that path. Also been using her as a sounding board pre implant. She told me that she had to her first implant activation recently when the doc was away. She said it went up and down without an issue, and the guy didn't hit the ceiling either. So hopefully I'm in good hands (literally) if it goes that way but I know the doc prefers to do it himself. I'm right handed and we agreed pre op to put the pump on the right. That has also given me an unexpected bonus because I (did) hang lower on the left, and now things have evened up :). I can already definitely feel the pump bulb and the button with a bit of a play so I'm hoping that's a good sign. Don't know how I'd go pumping with my left hand but I have pretty good strength in both.

Thanks! The message I'm getting from everyone is that persistence pays off.
Thankfully I'm perseverant with most things and won't give up easily.

Mine seems partially sideways as well, which had me a bit perplexed, but now it sounds like a good thing.
