What is the best result anyone has ever heard from a veinous embolization procedure?
I've seen a few reports of people saying it worked for 2 - 3 months.
Veinous Embolization
Re: Veinous Embolization
If venous embolism worked countless men on here would have done it and reported success. You wouldn’t need to seek it out. Venous Leak is the most common form of ED. Anything that actually worked to cure it would be well known
56yo, NYC. ED started at 40. Pills first, then shots for nearly 10 years. 24cm Coloplast Titan w/classic pump implanted by Dr Eid 3/25/2025.

assume those who have had the embolization and recovered are having normal sex, not on an erectile dysfunction forum!
I'm also 32 years old, and I would get it done before trying injections or implants!
In France, a doctor does it.
I've known some people who have had it and recovered!
There's also a risk of blood clots, and you can lose your penis!
You should think about it and see what your options are.

You just proved my point. You never find anyone posting that they had it done and it worked great. It’s always some vague story “I’ve known some people who…” or some mysterious doctor in another country. “In France, a doctor does it.”
There ARE men who have had great results from pills, shots, and implants, having normal sex, here in this ED forum to help other guys. Where are the vein ligation guys?
Vein ligation (and shockwave) have long term benefits for the people who charge money doing them. No one else seems to ever benefit from it.
Pills, VED w/constriction ring, shots, implant. Those are the current treatment options.
If you choose to get vein ligation please document your experience and make a journal of it here so everyone else can learn from it.

I wouldn't dare have that surgery. There's more risk of losing your penis, of it shortening, or of worsening the spread than of being cured!
It would be good if someone who's had it could provide information!
Or talk to the doctor about how many operations they've performed, and what percentage of people were cured and who suffered some damage!
I'll see my doctor in June and ask him those questions!

Who are the people you know that have recovered? I'd like to hear from them.
My surgeon told me it works for appx 1 in 3 people, and said if it works it may lose efficacy over time. He has offered me an implant, but also offered to do this as well if I want to try it. Unbeknownst to him I spoke to one of his patients that had it done 6 - 7 years ago. This patient told me that it worked wonders for him but the effects were short-lived, within 3 months his ED went back to where it was before surgery, and he then ended up just getting an implant.
I was surprised to hear that Dr David Ralph in London also still does venous leak surgery of some sort. Knowing that he does it makes me think that maybe it does work for a minority of patients.

Re: Veinous Embolization
I'm actually having the venous leak surgery done with Dr Paul Hegarty in Cork, tomorrow. If it doesn't work, I will consider getting the implant, and may aim to have it fitted this summer, within a couple of months.
