Pumping Before Implant

Postby ShopMan » Sat May 10, 2014 7:32 pm

Seems I am reading a lot in the forum about many of you guys who use a VED before having your implant. I have not even seen my uro yet so I may be real premature. I have, as probably most of you who ae older have, lost length over the years. It seems like since I have been injecting that there is a little increase in girth. Will pumping increase my length before implant? If so will a otc pump work as well as a prescription pump? I had a good pump years ago when I tried to use bands. That was not an option for me. Never worked and hurt like hell.
I need all the info I can get. I hope to see my uro next week.

Hey Charlie, My uro seems to think that pumping with an ved before an implant doesnt do a whole lot. And I totally agree with him. Ive heard of guys pumping before an implant. But unless you pump up an hour before your surgery and keep it pumped until right before the surgery I cant see how it would help much. When the dr pulls on your penis and gets the distal measurement thats what your gonna be anyway. If he can pull it to 6" then you will have 6". I hope this have given you some insight.

Charlie, I agree with big. My surgeon did not oppose but he did not seem very excited about the use of VED for physical gain. He, too, emphasised the stretch is the key. IMO, I can imagine that lots of VED might help, but I feel pretty troublesome a possible few tenths. I suppose if someone believes their gain in the exercise the its worth it.

Thanks. So I guess unless I want to walk around either pumped up for extended periods or maybe hang a 1 lb. weight on my tool it's probably not going to make much difference. Besides coming into early summer I want to get this done and over if possible.

How is it working out for you? Any regrets?

Charlie,
Not any real regrets, but not sure it will "save" the marriage. It will help me in ways though.

ShopMan, long story short(ish). I was origionally scheduled to receive an implant in July of 2013. Due to circumstances it was delayed until March 24th of 2014. The surgeon that I had origionally consulted with had encouraged me to use a V.E.D. as I had lost about 2.5 inches due to atrophy caused by a lack of regular erections. I began the restoration regimen immediately upon being advised and then came the delays for one reason after another but I continued the therapy. Looking back I would estimate that my old size was pretty much fully recovered in 2-3 months but I also knew that if I stopped it would shrink right back to what it had become so I persevered and today while not yet being at my old size I have kept an inch and a half that had been lost to 15 years of E.D. I hope that you find my experience helpful , blessings to you, peace...
