Re: Looking to get an implant.
I met Dr Hakky yesterday. He said I had a vein leaking and it would get worse over time. It cost $21,0000 out of pocket and there is no going back. He seems like a really good and dedicated doctor. I love the idea of an erection anytime I want one. But I also know there can be complications. He said he would recommend a ipp because of my size and that the ipp will help to maintain size. Also said after the first ipp that a malleable would be ok sense my size and shape would be more determined. Right now I have a bout a 30* curve to the right and some hour glass shape. He said an ipp could help correct a lot of that also. I still get natural erection but they are very undependqble and it can be very frustrating to deal with. He can get me done by the end of June if I decide to move forward. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Married white male. 52. 7+ long 6” girth. Pills since I was 45. Trimix for the last year. I’m a grower.

This is exactly what I’d do if insurance covered my implants. Hakky’s approach sounds straightforward, down to earth and no nonsense. He is conscious of your size and also your age. Just do it! Good luck!

I was in a very similar situation about 3 years ago when I got my implant. I was nervous but was ready and committed! Been the best decision I’ve made in the last decade! Never looked back and have been trying to wear this thing out for almost 3 years.
Do what you and your Dr decide and jump in headfirst! Going with Hackey seems like a great logical choice! Personally I wouldn’t consider a malleable. I want the ability to get rock hard or deflated when I want. Not saying a malleable is a bad thing…. I just preferred the ipp. If it broke in the near future, I would go back with another but hoping I’ll get 8-10 years out of this one. Talk to your Dr and read all you can about both types and make up your own mind. People w malleables tend to think they are the best and the ipp is bad. Most with ipps think malleable is bad. They all have their advantages. Just whatever is right for you and go for it. Sound like your ready for an implant in your walk with ED but again it’s up to you. One e you go implant you’ll always have to have an implant… but I was sick and tired of dealing with g with ED and all the stresses and inconsistency of pills and shots. Not it’s like I’m a teenager again. It’s ready any time I am.

Re: Looking to get an implant.
them inflatables is your gold standard... until they go pop and leave ya looking like a confused possum in a kiddie pool..malleables is your silver standard right there. Ain’t fancy, but lawd, they don’t break...built like a cast iron skillet handed down from meemaw...now I ain’t sayin ya oughta ignore them boomers hollerin on the interwebs, but listen here..what your doc says? That’s gospel...
now for the main question ..how did yalls partners react ?
My girl goes like...
OOH! PLEASE BABY HARDER
OH GOD IT FEELS SO FUCKING GOOD
MMHHHH OH YEAHHH... DON'T STOP
I'm GONNA CUM....
She cums and I'm ready for another round..hell yeah

georgiaguy wrote:Do the malleable implants make you look hard all the time. I am leaning that way just to have the dependability and simplicity of the malleable. I am naturally 7” length and 6” girth. Will a malleable allow me to keep most of that ? Are they rigid enough for anal sex ? I’m pretty sure they are a once and done thing. That sounds very appealing since I’m only 52. Can an inflatable be used if I change my mind later ? Thanks for the feedback.
As someone who had (past tense) girth of 6.25 - I wouldn't go with a Malleable. I got the AMS 700 CX which expands in girth - and so far the best I can do is about 5.5" with engorgement - which as I read is about the limit. Some people claim 6" in girth, but so far I don't see any real photographic evidence of this - or if so its not a 'natural' engorgement along with an implant. If you are concerned with girth, go with the Titan IPP if you are in the US or the Rigicon elsewhere. Also for anal you'll want an IPP - a Malleable might work, but why worry?
A good surgeon will help you keep your length - but definitely get the implant done soon - the deformity from injections can be an absolute bitch (check my journal for pics of what I had to go through) though the implant can help correct those.
I may have lost size from the Peyrone's but I'm still glad I have an IPP - being able to perform whenever I want is the best! Kinda mitigates the size issue - lol.
48yo gay married male - Size before cancer / ED = 7.5" x 6.25" (current 5.5x5.2). AMS 700 CX implanted 12/9/24. 18cm + 1cm RTE and 18cm + 2cm RTE.

Re: Looking to get an implant.
If the max dose of injections works, avoid implants whenever possible. Malleables sacrifice girth but remain the most reliable option on the market. Inflatables? Their lifespan’s a gamble...1 to 20+ years. Worst case, you’re replacing them yearly. Multiple infections or revisions could erase those hyped-up size gains. It’s a rollercoaster ride that fattens surgeons’ wallets, boosts manufacturers’ profits, and pads hospital coffers, but for some patients, it’s pure hell. Before deciding, read both 1 star and 5 star reviews to make an informed choice, I wouldn't just chase the glowing ones. 1 star reviewers often vanish from forums. Ever see a post about a post-implant penectomy or someone dying from implant induced sepsis in the ER? Neither have I. If you’re set on this path, hope for the best but brace for the worst. There’s no right or wrong choice, just the heavy weight of owning the one you make. That said, get that Coloplast Titan from Dr. Hakky, but know what you're signing up for!

Re: Looking to get an implant.
After talking to the doc. I’m pretty sure the trimix is what is giving me the curve and the hourglass. I stopped them about 3 weeks ago and some of the hour glass is going away. I had a natural of about 10*. But now it’s at 30* and doesn’t seem to have corrected any with me stopping the shots. I will use the shots very sparingly until surgery and then hopefully everything turns out right and all I’ll need is a new implant every 10 years. The wife is worried I will be wanting to bang everything in sight but that’s her only argument about getting it done. Lol. On a side note do you guys with implants still get that morning wood feeling when you wake up ? Thanks.

Yeah - its not the trimix, but a combination of the erection, and fibrosis / scar tissue building up from the injection itself. Same thing happened to me. I developed a curve from Peyrones caused by prostatectomy (there is some connection - unknown why some people get it from that) but again - had deformation from the inejctions - implant took care of that. I.e. the implant (IPP AMS 700 CX) was rigid enough to correct the issues.
