New to the board which has been super helpful in learning about implants. Scheduled for next month. For those that have them already, a few questions.
I'm a former bodybuilder and martial artist and still train rather heavy, do a lot of cardio on an upright bike, heavy abs and stretch pretty intensely (splits etc). My concern is doing anything that could disturb any components of the implant because I'd obviously like to get as much use out of it possible before having to go for a second round. I assume plenty of you do this stuff but would like to hear from the experts (those with implants) as to anything you would suggest staying away from after I'm healed up, in the gym or out.
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers. Greatly appreciated.
As a fitness enthusiast myself I have returned to everything except contact sports.
Biking, running, hiking, weight lifting are all fine but I would be VERY careful with the martial arts.
Remember, you have parts inside you that could be damaged with a hard kick or misplaced
punch in either your groin or solar-plexus.
That reservoir is located near your belly button and I remember vividly just how hard those blows could be when I
did MMA training years ago (Pre-implant)
To each his/her own, but I would avoid it.

Heavy lifting. Running. Dirt biking. Even rough sex. Do it all once your healed. Once you have doctors blessing your good to go. Implant becomes part of you.

Just want to thank you all for the responses. Sounds like absent getting hit in the wrong places I should be good to go with everything else by the 6 week point at the latest. I don't spar anymore so I should be good getting back to the rest of my life. Thanks again. I really appreciate that there is a community here to interact with about these issues.
