First time in 17 months!
I have not posted recently, but I feel a need to share this commentary. After robotic surgery on 9-15-2009 I have had only one spontaneous erection, on 9-15-2010--one year annerversary of surgery. Since then, nothing natural, nighttime or daytime. However, with the help of 1/2 of viagra (Alldaychemist) and for the first time a lassoo around penis, my lovely wife and I were able to regain having sex. Not exactly natural, but it's a step in the right direction. Previously, after using viagra, if I tried to move off my back, I'd lose the erection. The lassoo helped keep it firm long enough. So for you new guys, it takes awhile for healing to take place. In my case it took 17 months.

Red,
Excellent news! Everyone of us here rejoice with you and your wife. Any regained function is such a thrill for us all. Even if its temporary (as in my situation), we want to know about it and share in the experience. What works for you may work for another too, so thanks for helping out by providing the info.
Keep us posted
Dave

Red,
What a great report. Like you had open RP. Tried the Pump, Pills and moved to the Needle at 1 year. At year two started to get a bit more movement and in the 25th month the Blue pill did the job. I still am unsing the injections but I am making progress and I think in time I will be back to pills only.
I do understand about the use of lasso and loss when moving off of your back.
Do keep us posted. If you get a chance join us in the chat room some times.

Re: First time in 17 months!
Jeff and Dave,
Thanks for the nice replies. You might remember, especially if you visit on HealingWell, I was the guy who after robotic surgery was NOT put on any viagra thereapy. My surgeon's attitude with erection loss is that it takes time and to simply let nature do its thing. It bothered the heck out of me to read others' reports about how they were on various protocols while I was basically left behind, waiting and waiting. I cheated a few times and tried a half generic V pill but it wasn't really too impressive, if you get my drift. However, time did heal after 17 months and the doc was right. Initially, a half or whole V would be enough to produce an erection with some help from wife, but as soon as I moved, down it went. The lassoo corrected that nicely. All is good right now. Thanks again for the replies and good luck to all who are in this same boat.

Dear Red,
I hope you will take the time when you can to relate your entire story. Many of us could learn from it.
thanks,
Greg

Yes mate, a lassoo is a cockring that can be pulled as tight as you like to hold your erection, i used to use one in the early days after my surgery in conjunction with pillss.it worked ok, but a few months using it i developed fibrosis in my shaft ,which my uro DX as peyronies disease, luckily i don,t have the dreaded bend in my dick. so if you are going to use one just go carefully,
