Hi,

I hate to admit, but before seeing my physician for my ED problem I did try Horny Goat Weed. Bought it at GNC and was told it would help with erections.

It did nothing for me except make me $35 poorer. Do not waste your money.

Actually I just tried this the other night and this one worked very well and I got hard really.....

We are friends with a couple that are our ages, and he uses a product that is marketed as X-Rock, and it has a multitude of ingredients, or which one is Horny Goat Weed. He swears by it, taking it when he wants to have multiple encounters within a short time frame. I tried it, and it did help me produce some degree of erection, however, not adequate for intercourse. And I choose to not take it again, as I did not like the side effects that persisted for about 2-3 days, including a bad taste in my mouth. My friend, however, gets none of the side effects that I had with the one dosage. Each tablet costs about $8-9, which is actually cheaper than Cialis, Levitra or Viagra.

If any you try it, let us know how you liked or disliked it, and also any side effects from taking it.

I haven't tried that but I have tried something I bought on line that requires no prescription and its half the price of Viagra. Its called ViaGold, and it works for me better than Viagra. I learned about it from my Dad, who is a retired doctor (general practitioner). I always thought of those things as scams, but hey - the proof is in the erction! It makes my flaccid penis size bigger too. I know, sounds crazy.

Guys, this is a copy of a post I did back in June (at Pegym.com), of my experience with HGW. My hope in using these products was for erection quaity (EQ). Its more of a daily log and its lengthy. Hope it helps.

Horny Goat Weed

HGW & Maca as an alternative to Viagra/Cialis & Levitra. I purchased a single bottle from two different manufacturers (GNC & Irwin Naturals). The information below is taken from each bottle.

Please note:
My body’s response to MOST supplements or medications is naught. Unfortunately, I’m the body type (whatever that is), Doctor’s refer to when the say “this medication or supplement may not work for everyone.” Therefore, my review(s) should be interpreted as indifferent and not biased pro or con toward either of these products. Experiment with these yourselves, your review will also help. Along with these supplements I was also taking Asian Ginsing, Erection Tea, L-Arginie and Ginko.

*GNC Horny Goat Weed 60 ct. ($20) Serving size 2 capsules.
HGW extract 600mg
Maca root extract 250mg
Polypopidum vulgare root powder 25mg.

The sales person I spoke with at this particular location said this is their #2 best selling ED supplement; #1 seller was Extenze.

Directions: “take two to four capsules before activity.” Nothing mentioned about taking on daily basis to build up in the system.

1st day, took 2 @ 3pm, one more @ bedtime, 11pm, and 4 when I woke up the next morning. I was hoping for some reaction each time, especially that morning, but nothing, not even a recognizable surge of blood.
2nd day, took 4 when I woke up. Recognized a surging all day, not quit enough to get an erection but noticeable. My penis was very sensitive (in a good way) to touch; mind and body was seeking sexual gratification (horny) all day, so much so I was embarrassed at times. Also, exceptionally hungry; my stomach and penis contended for satisfaction.
3rd day, took 4 when I woke up. Nothing all day long, typical day with ED, disappointing.
4th day, took 4 when I woke up. Nothing. Around 3pm took 2 gel caps of Steel-Libido (see below), still nothing. Took another HGW before bed.
5th day, took 4 @wake up, nothing.
6th day, took 4 @ wake up, 2 @ 3pm, nothing.
7th day, took 5 @ wake up, 2 @ 3pm, nothing 1 @ bedtime.
Change in routine, took more that enough each day to build up in system with no results beyond 2nd day. Backing off on amount to see if less provides better results for EQ.
8th day, 1 @ wake up, 1 @ 3pm, 1 @ bedtime. Horny day! No EQ boost though.
9th day, 1 @ wake up, 1 @ 3pm, 1 @ bedtime. Nothing.
10th – 14th day, 1 @ wake up, 1 @ 3pm, 1 @ bedtime. No change, nothing

Conclusion:
Over a period of approximately 2 weeks, this particular product by GNC did nothing for my ED or EQ however it did produce enhanced horniness, stomach hunger and two extremely sensitive (unforgettable) orgasms. Ejaculate volume was normal.

“(Adult) for daily maintenance, take one to four liquid soft-gels in divided doses. For more immediate response prior to intimacy take up to 4, one hour before activity. Do not take more than 4 in one day.”

Web-Site:
“Take 1-3 capsules throughout the day on an empty stomach. For a more immediate response prior to intimacy take 4 capsules 2 hours before activity.”

1st day, 4 @ wake up to see if anything would happen on empty stomach, nothng.
2nd-7th day 1 three time a day Morn, Mid-day, Night, nothing
8th day, 4 @ wake up, nothing.
9th-14th three time a day Morn, Mid-day, Night, nothing.

Conclusion:
As expected I did not get any results as advertised on bottle or website.

As I mentioned above at the beginning my body does not respond to most medications or supplements so I’m not surprised. I like trying new things with hope for something but the results are the same; no effect. Call me stupid but I will continue to try. To date (6/24/10) I’ve tried L-Aginine, Erection Tea, Ginko, Ginsing, HGW & Steel Libido separately and collectively and sadly report that not one of them produced any effect toward an erection or erection quality.

I hope I have not negated or influenced anyone from trying the products mentioned above; I just wanted to help individuals like me who are aware of their body’s inability to respond to what the masses speak so highly about. Please try them and let us all know how they work (don’t work). Hopefully, I will learn from you and find something that will work for me.

Dave that was a very interesting post. I have always been tempted to try the Xtenze but think what a waste of extra cash when the injections always work and in many cases the injections cost less.

I tried for the first time last week a erection item from www.xrockeme.com. When I saw the articale the first time I thought what a waste of money. But I ordered a 30 day supply (1 pill every 3 rd day) 10 packets. So when they arrived I took one at 7 p.m. on Friday and about 9 p.m. that night we went to bed and the next thing I knew was old woody was stiff & thicker than a teenager. I have taken HGW, along with a number of other herbal supplements, including l-argenine EE, daily for about a year with little or no improvement. However, I have achieved good results with another otc supplement, Maxidus (primary ingredient is eurycoma longifolia, aka tonkat ali, along with 7 other herbal supplements). It does not need to be taken daily, but one pill starting 3 hours in advance and a second pill taken an hour in advance. I have achieved a 70% erection which I can improve to an 85+% erection with constriction, which is about as good as I can get with 50 mgs of Viagra. It may just be me, but it has worked for me for several years now.
