I had my AMS 700 LGX installed two weeks ago last Friday. The first week was a bit tough, but not horrible. Just mainly uncomfortable. This past week was much better as the pain and swelling are essentially gone. I never had the terrible bruising other patients seem to get.
I had a few questions out of curiosity:
It seems the slightly charged erection I left the hospital with has slightly decreased. I can feel the engorged tubes on either side though and they seem uniform. Anyone else notice this?
I have a followup this Wednesday (2.5 weeks post op) presumably to check the sutures, which seem to be fine to my eyes. I wonder if he might try to pump it up? I have felt around for the pump and can feel it but I did not do an intense search. I hope it will re-position in a location I can easily and painlessly operate. Does the doctor do this if it needs it?
Thanks to all.

Re: A few questions - 2 weeks post implant
JamesG,
Congratulations! I also have the AMS LGX 700, implanted Sept 15, 2014.
Yes, I can feel the tubes. The swelling will continue to go down, it will get smaller as you heal.
No, the doctor will not inflate you at 2 weeks. I played with mine a little, the doctor deflated mine. The doctor will only look at the stitches to make sure you are healing and no infections. I move my own pump around to pump up, but if you are having problems make sure you discuss this with your doctor.

Re: A few questions - 2 weeks post implant
Hi James. I am implanted with my SECOND AMS LGX 700. The first implant was inflated at 10 days post op. Looking back, that was WAYYY too early to have it inflated. Your doctor "should have" told you when he would perform the first inflation but I read over and over on FT that doctors do not inform their patients, and many patients do not ask. So it is possible that he will (or will not) inflate.
The pump should be positioned at the bottom of your scrotum but if it isn't, the doctor will probably instruct you to pull it down, into position. That's what my first doctor said but it never did move down or into position. The second implant was positioned perfectly, pump at bottom of scrotum, tubes in place and even on both sides and slightly into the GLANS (head of the penis) to avoid Floppy Head, which is another thing that I hear a lot about on here.
The second implant was inflated at 8 weeks because of scar tissue concerns from the first implant. All is well with this implant and I'm a very happy guy. I also had virtually no bruising or even pain this time. What a difference a good doctor makes!
Good luck and I look forward to reading your future posts.

Re: A few questions - 2 weeks post implant
Thank you Lewis and LGX. I will let it play out and see what is next. Surely, every doctor has their own strategy and plan for their patients. I think my doctor knows what he is doing and I trust him.
Sometimes, curiosity and lack of patience get you thinking what's next.
I appreciate your replies.

Re: A few questions - 2 weeks post implant
Hi james
I am at 4 weeks post op tomorrow, had my 2 week visit and was deflated a little more than when I left hospital. Was instructed to practice inflating and deflating once a day for one week, twice a day for one week and week 3 inflate and maintain erection for 30 min once a day and then I go back to get checked by the doc and get fully inflated. At this stage I inflate only a few pumps but have a very solid erection but is not near its full potential yet, amazing how solid it gets with only a couple of pumps. Have to say finding the pump is a bit of a chasing game even though mine is in the right position at the base of the scrotum.I think I should be pumping more than I am but it is very sensitive still but they did say to only do what was comfortable. The process is far from being common practice but with practice hopefully all will be much easier soon.
Happy pumping and good luck with holding the bloody thing down long enough to get a hold on the pump and the deflate button, very slippery little B's
Cheers Zac
