oldest age to still get erection with injection

Postby newbie1 » Sat Nov 22, 2014 6:31 am

I know this varies with every person. But what has been the oldest age that men can still get usable erection (whether with pills or injection-other than implant) before it is completely lost?
ED many years, failed PDE5i, on Trimix but recently needing large increasing strengths and doses

I have heard stories of men in there 90's having a erection. But speaking for my self...I just turned 80. I use injections. They work most of the time. But am giving serious thought to getting a implant.
age 80. Prostate removed (cancer) 20 years ago. ED resulted. 19+ years did nothing. Tried pills, vacuum pump (HATED IT), injections worked sometimes, but not dependable. Presently have a inflatable, worked the 1st year. Not working for me now.

I think for that information to mean anything, one would have to know if the man has underlying health issues that affect function such as PC treatment, diabetes, etc.
RP in 2012 because of prostate cancer. 100% ED, also some leakage problems.

Stanri:
If injections work most of the time, why would you want to consider implant?

Andy425:
Yes, I agree with you--there are many factors, like you said, health conditions, genetic make-up, medications, etc, etc. There is no way we can list all of them separately. I just want to get an idea such as e.g. nobody would get an erection after 100, 90, 80, 75 or whatever, that is all. It cannot apply to anyone (even if we know all the factors). Thanks

Why you ask would I at age 80 want one ?? Maybe "most of the time" was the wrong phrase. Lets say I can't always depend on injections. Some times a full erection, sometimes a partial and the majority of the time not good enough to penetrate.. Add in the problem the med must be kept in the fridge. If you travel it's a pain. Try going through airport security and explaining why you are carrying a supply of needles along with a special cold med. They always it go through, but some security agents are more of a pain in the ass then others.

I want something that I can count on ALL the time, with no travel hassles. I'm willing to put up with the pain and discomfort all for a better sex life.

Stanri...

I am 76, and have been injecting for over 3 years.... my dose has always been very small (3 or 4 units) and each time i get a terrific hardon.
Because the dose is small, 5 ML lasts for a LONG time .... i am currently using "expired" trimix and just increasing dose to 5 units it works find.

As long as i can get great boners at a very low cost (less than $1.00 per) I will not even THINK of an implant. I just hope that it keeps on keeping on.

First time poster here and it's good to know that there are others struggling with similar issues. I've recently been diagnosed with a venous leak and doc has prescribed Trimix. I'm really hoping this will help me as I'm pretty depressed right now. Cialis doesn't seem to do the trick anymore. Is it reasonable to think that injections will have better results for venous leak? Any past experience is most welcomed

I know nothing about veinous leakage, but I wasn't having any luck at all with pills when I went to injections. Now the pills sorta work, but not well enough. I'm satisfied with trimix.

The theory behind prescribing Trimix for a venous leak is that if the leak is not too serious, the excess inflow of blood induced by the Trimix will outpace the out flow thus allowing the build up of blood inside the chambers to generate an erection. It's worth a try

THere is a gentleman on the Peyronnes web-site forum who is 85 with a younger wife an an active sex life....His name is "Old Man" and he has developed a protocol for pumping for penile health...He claims to continue to have erections hard enough for penetration with regular pumping....He's probably in good physical health as well. I pump about 5 days a week for 15min and it has helped tremendously....I am single and seeing a woman younger than me, the slightest distraction or anxiety and the 100mgs of Viagra doesn't work...so I have resorted back to Trimix as a last resort...
George Burns once said that having sex at age 95 was like trying to play pool with a piece of rope.....LOL
