Been using Trimix for a while (a few years) - not often - but when I do I get only moderate results - chubby but no where close to a full/hard erection. I get some ache afterwards and when I've tried increasing the dosage, the ache gets worse as well. Not sure what the mix is in mine or how much of each. Have a call into my pharmacist now to see how he might adjust the formula so I can use more but also get rid of the ache. Any suggestions? Less of .....? More of ......? Make it Quadmix? Bimix? Thanks in advance for the advice.

My experience has been that increased quantity does not give better results.
Re: Adjusting Trimix Formula
You'll need to see your doctor to change the prescription; the pharmacist can't act unilaterally on his own. However, the pharmacist may be able to give you some pointers for a discussion with your doctor. Potentially, everybody reacts differently to Trimix. How many units of the drug are you taking when you inject? If you are only achieving a chubby, then injecting more could help -- but see your doctor first.
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.
Re: Adjusting Trimix Formula
UPDATE - so I called my pharmacist to see what the deal might be - told him my story and he looked up my prescription - even though one of the other pharmacists had told me he "beefed up" my formula so I wouldn't have to use as much (was using almost 10 units) the one I talked to this morning said the amount of alprostadil (he said it was the ingredient that gives the most 'benefit') in my prescription from the doc was less than what's typically in their normal trimix formula. So he's gonna get word to my doc to see if it's okay to change my prescription/formula to their standard formula. Hope that's not the ingredient that causes the ache. . . .don't need more of that. More updates as I get them.

Re: Adjusting Trimix Formula
Rick,
It's all about trial and error. I have just started Trimix in the last few months and I actually "practice." I have had my doctor write two different prescriptions and I may ask for a third. Right now I am injecting 90-100 units of a rather weak formula -- so in your case don't think 10 units is necessarily a lot. It all depends on the strength of the medication. In my case, the more units I used, the better the result.
My goal now is a more powerful prescription and fewer units. You may have the best results by forming a partnership with your doctor than going through the pharmacist as an intermediary.
When I stared out I was like you -- only achieving a chubby. But since then, the experience has been incredible as I worked with my doctor to change the formula. In my opinion I am still having to take too many units because the formula is weak. On the other hand, I have ZERO pain and the most incredible erections of my life. That's at age 58.
Don't give up.

Re: Adjusting Trimix Formula
Update . . . talked with pharmacist when I picked up my new vial. He said he doubled the alprostadil from the original prescription (with doctor's approval) but also said that doubling it only put it at half of what their "standard" trimix formula has in it. According to him, alprostadil is the most potent of the three ingredients. So last night I gave it a whirl - used 3 units . . . and I'm pretty sure the results were better than I've had for a while . . . or at least better than I remember having. Still got that dull ache soon after injecting that lasted a few hours but I think I can live with it - at least through this vial. Appreciate the advice and support - keep it coming. I agree - trial and error and definitely takes practice.
