Got an email from Dr. Eid's office today. Said it was entirely possible to do the 3 piece. The picture shows a long horizontal incision up high on level with the navel. when thinking about the anatomy that would be perfect because it places the reservoir well above the hernia repair area. Here is his email. sorry, i do not know how to attach the picture. Now to figure out how to make it happen.
Dear Mr. Seabaugh,
We routinely perform the three piece implants on patients like yourself after robotic prostatectomy and inguinal hernia repair.
You are correct the two piece implants are a compromise and are not as good.
Please find attached a picture of a post-prostatectomy patient with a Coloplast Titan implant, XL cylinders 24cm, Touch pump.
The picture was taken two weeks after the penile implant surgery while the patient was learning how to inflate and deflate his device.
Please note that in addition to the scrotal incision a second incision in the right lower quadrant which is always necessary for the reservoir placement in
men after robotic prostatectomy. The picture illustrates for you the location and size of the second incision.
All the best for the upcoming Holidays,
JFE PHD MD

Thanks stkman! I am hoping to be able to call his office tomorrow If I can get home in time. Hard to do with east time zone and central, to have them run the insurance gauntlet to see if this can happen. I've gotten to be a bit of a hermit the last few years with all the issues, have not been on a plane in years and the idea of traveling to the big city and finding my way around is spooky but maybe I can handle it if not too tired. Travel is not easy living in a body that is 20 years older than our actual age.

Hi Ali
Great news, just what has been needed, a doctor that has positive news!
After all that you have been through the travel bit is going to be a piece of cake.
Hope that the insurance now comes through and you are on your way to achieving your goal.
Good luck with the next stage in your process.
Hopes & prayers for a good outcome

I am very gland for you!!!!!
Your case is a text book version of why you should go to the high volume implant surgeons.
They can handle these types of things.
A lot of the high volume surgeons also end up fixing implant procedures that other doctors have screwed up.

Re: Well boys, you won't believe this.
I appreciate the words of goodwill from everyone but 2 more kicks in the nuts today trying to get this done. did not receive the emailed paperwork from Dr. Eid's office. Just about to think that wasting another $285 on this on top of a grand in previous doctor visits will be another waste of money. maybe it will come tomorrow, after all, I was dismissed because it is 4:00 eastern time (3:00 in the afternoon our time). I have resigned to the fact it will never happen. Even considering asking the moderator to remove me from the rolls tonight but i know if I do I would still lurk here if I can manage to hang on to life. 3rd time in my life now I have considered ending it all and all 3 times a limp dick was the reason. this cannot continue. Impotency is something that needs to be treated with a little compassion rather than reading a script off a computer screen or treating you like a customer at the dmv. Does everyone else just get up one morning and decide , hey, I think i am going to go get me an implant? How the hell do you keep it from being a roller coaster of emotions whether to do it or not? why does everyone have to treat you like you are renewing your license plates? Your time is up. next. No time for questions. There are details to work out. You don't pluck a new dick off the shelf, scan, pay and go home. this is a process. I have had many surgeries and every previous one there was someone who would answer my questions and tell me how to best proceed through the process so things went smoothly. Move on . next.

Re: Well boys, you won't believe this.
Ali your right it is a process, for some faster than others sure you journey has and is a very difficult one to continue on but continue is what you must do ! None of this fucking giving up, you go on ! not just for yourself but those that love you, you don't screw up their lives too. Ali your a Man you can do this, you stay on the journey and hope & pray that things improve but if they don't you still don't give up. Focus on the good in your life and make that the priority of your thoughts while continuing on your journey

Re: Well boys, you won't believe this.
I got my 3 piece yesterday and I have had in the past two hernias. My Dr. placed the reservoir about 1 1/2" above the top of my penis. All the rest is normal implantation. I got a AMS 700 LGX. So I don't see any reason you can't get the same.

Charlie my man, I am proud you got it done. You even got my the love of my life implant!
I just cannot take this shit any more. Dealt with it since 1997 and tried to get an implant for 2 years. Last night I was to the point of either turning to the shotgun or destroying something. I went downstairs and tore the tongue and groove walnut off the wall to try to sell . I'll nail something cheap up in it's place or pull down the studs and paint the concrete. Won't be as pretty but I am not either any more. fine body to look at with an old face and it is all worn out. Felt better after tearing out the wall. Might tear out the cherry too. I tore out the cherry wainscoat in the kitchen a few years back and sold it for $800.
I know it is a process. I know it takes time. That is why I try to start on it mid year every year. The question is why does it take so many years to try to make it happen? After so many years you can't take going through it any more. I have soo many dates on this years calendar that ended up being cancelled by the doctors that I would have to count to see . I know there are 4 since september. One doctor cancels after you have already gotten referrals and insurance approval, then you have to start all over calling doctors, paperwork and waiting 3 months to get an appointment all over again. I have a whole box of the the stack of forms they send to bring to the appointments and only one set of forms ever made it to an office visit. All the rest were cancelled after a 2-3 month wait. Doctors now cherry pick you the see. Anyone who has any health issues is considered a possible liability and they always wait til the nurse reviews your records a few days before the office visit to cancel after 2-3 month wait for the visit. ( doctor's words, not mine).
