Rick:

So glad everything went well! Welcome to the Bionic brotherhood.

Now I'm waiting on the lyrics for the healing period.
"my scrotum looks like an eggplant,
the twins hate the new neighbor"

In a few days, you will be able to finish something like this.

Maybe to the melody of "Happy days are here again"

Take it easy for the next few weeks, then come out swinging!

Here's why I hate hospitals. I'm having severe, excurtating bladder spasms. This is a gift from my prostatectomy. They never went away. I get a few every month. With a catheter I'm waves of pain multiple times per minute with pain at 7 out of 10.
They gave me a suppository which brought my pain level down to zero. Three hours later the pain comes roaring back. I ask for another. I'm told the Doctor only ordered one. Now im waiting in agonizing pain waiting to hear back from the Doctor.

My surgeon did an outstanding job with surgery related pain control. Sadly it took 4 hours of excruciating pain before they figured the right combination of narcotic anti spasms to control my bladder spasms. The good news was they took my level 8 pain and brought it to 0. The bad news is these meds are so powerful there is a strong possibility I'll be in urinary retention when the pull out the catheter at 6am. If that happens I could be stuck in an endless loop. They re-cath me and it's another night in the hospital. The cathater causes unbelievable painful spasms causing me to need narcotic anti spasm meds. On day 2 They pull the catheter a second time. I go into retention again, causing me to relive that very bad movie Groundhog Day for the rest of my life. Anyone else have spasms with your catheter?
