...you're 31 years old and you're driving 5 hours away to have your implant done?
I feel like no one would buy the hernia excuse. I know it's nobody's business anyways but you know how people are? Is there another excuse i can use that's more believable guys? (BTW this is not directed towards my work but towards the average nosey, but well meaning person who asks what type of surgery I'm having and why I'm having it so far away)

How about that you are having urological surgery from specialist in type of correction you are needing. If someone wants to know more, I did not mind saying that I was having surgery to correct ED problem. ED is a much more common term than it used to be and I suggest majority of men certainly understand it andwraps have it and do not admit it. If the inquirer does have ED then they might question you more. You can then be the judge as to how much more you reveal.

hello gents...
personally, i told MOST people who asked what type of surgery i was having... any guys, most women my age. I feel like it could help someone down the road...any guy of any age with ED and any wife whose husband is having issues with ED. Most people i did speak with were amazed that there is such a thing as penis implants. this forum is wonderful, but i still wish i'd had someone local who i could have talked with. just my two cents...everybody has to go with their own feelings!

I told people that I had some quality of life issues that were a result of my prostate cancer and that the surgery was going to help clear up those issues.
Beyond that I didn't say anything. Most people immediately stopped asking questions the moment I mentioned cancer.
Based upon the look on their face, I think some people thought I might have some life threatening condition.

The people you know must be a lot more intrusive than the people I know. Nobody but my wife knew I was having surgery - we didn't tell the kids anything about it. At work, when I informed people I'd be out for a couple of weeks for surgery, nobody really asked for details. One person was a little curious and I told him I was just having a plumbing repair. Generally I've found most men - at least the men I know - don't want to discuss urological problems.

I didn't keep it a secret from my close associates but told neighbors it was "a followup to my prostatectomy".... Most didn't inquire further...

Hmmmm botched hernia? I like that, I think I might go with that. Thanks!

I'm sorry you went through that man. But I'm not sure if I want to scare people with the "C" word.

I mean no disrespect to those that just told people that are having a penile implant surgery, but at my age and with the people I know, and the level of intolerance and ignorance out there, there's no way I can tell anyone.

Tell them you have a rare circulatory problem that requires surgery. It would be true as well.
