My doc advised 325 mg aspirin rather than the low dose, saying it would provide more of the protection I need (I have an artificial heart valve). So that's what I'm doing.

Hi Dave see how its nice to give out info right at the beginning, puts us all in the same ball park then, so to give you some good feed back, but do give my other things a real good search, these are all very good for you blood, to get really good erections we do need good clean blood, so just one of these 3 will clean out the plaque, this helps getting cholesterol numbers down, one is good for getting you triglycerides numbers down, and the last one taken daily is also very good at keeping cholesterol down, all three well keep you very healthy, its one thing we should all aim for? Yes and a healthy us leads us all to having very good erections, and a healthy sex life, its what we are all here for? Yes

Good Luck

SInce I have an implant, erections are no problem. However, due to the irreparable aftereffects of a stroke my sex life has ended. I come here mostly to talk implants with prospective implantees - I like to be helpful where I can.

Hi Dave Was it the stroke or the meds that's now killed your sexual desire?, and as you say it is nice to try and help others.

It was the stroke - an embolism damaged a crucial area in my brainstem. As a result, my libido is gone - I have no sexual desire at all. I am physically able to perform with the implant but have no desire to use it. My wife lost interest long ago, so we're on the same page. I'm almost 72 and she's 69, so we are in the majority of couples for whom sex has ended according to Kinsey research.

Hi Dave, So sorry to here that its one of the things that makes life so worth living is a good sex life, no matter what age we are, have you ever tried anything to try and lift your libido back up?

The problem is that the libido issue is due to alteration of the wiring in my brain, not by anything controllable, such as hormones or other chemical factors. My T is normal, and my health is generally good, but I have no sexual desire at all. It's been years now, and my asexual state is the new normal. Since my wife lost interest in sex years ago, we are entirely compatible and perfectly happy. Sex was good while it lasted, and life is fine now without it. Again, I'm 72 - plenty of people my age are still sexually active, but more are not. If you have a desire for sex, then a good sex life is important, but if not, then not so much.

First let me say sorry for the late reply, (been having internet probs)
Thank you Nohard for the advice, my cholesterol is always normal when I have a blood test, but I decided to come of simvastatin (it was high about 12 years ago)
after talking to a pal who was in the same pain as me, (legs, feet) he had a holiday and forgot to take his meds with him, came back saying how his pain had reduced so I thought what the hell and left mine of, and as time goes by my pain is going away.
I know take Cayenne pepper, Turmeric and Garlic.

Thanks again to Nohard, great advice.

I have painful legs and ed like mentioned here. My Neurologist took me off Simvastatin 3 days ago. In 3 weeks he is going to have my legs tested. My ed has been worse since about the time I was put on 20 mg of Simvastatin. After that viagra stopped working so Simvastatin could be one of my problems besides being 74 years old. I will keep in touch.

Hi octigo, Look why your waiting get on this it could help your problem, if its a blocked artery problem, by taken this it will help to unblock then, both Cayenne pepper and Turmeric are renowned for doing this if you research both.
The way out and clearing away plaque would be to get on Cayenne Pepper, Turmeric and garlic, take this each morning and see how you go.
You just mix CP and Turmeric 50/50 in olive oil and then mix with tomato paste and thin it with olive oil, at first you just mix this to a heat that suits you, and over time you can slowly increase the CP and Turmeric.
You take 3 small teaspoonful each morning first thing, you wash each spoonful down with water, before anything else just after you get up, one thing it will warm you up, with this, which will also help would be very fine chopped garlic, just do a whole head, chopped fine, and keep in olive oil, with this you add dried parsley, a couple of good desert spoonful's and mix, you just add a teaspoonful on top of the CP an turmeric mix, just mix into the top take as said.
The Parsley its very good for the blood and helps keep your Cholesterol down.
Now if you read up about all three, the very good for ED, your heart and prostate, garlic is also very good for your blood, so along with the CP and turmeric, your be doing your body the world of good.
I do suggest you google all 3, your see just how they really work, suggest you just google cayenne pepper for cholesterol, and so on.
And yes have had ED now in recovery and do take what is above along with other stuff.
So do hope this helps you.
Good Luck
