question about sex drive with implant

I am a 29 year old male who has severe erectile dysfunction. I have had it for roughly 10 years now (I have 2 posts on this website).

I have 2 questions -

1- Before I developed quite severe ED I remember feeling like my private part 'was there' when it was flaccid and had some blood flow in it. I felt a strong drive to approach women and initiate sex. How does your private part feel when it's flaccid with the prosthetic implant? By having a flaccid private part that is significantly 'more present' when flaccid does your penis feel 'alive' when you're walking around town and see attractive women, etc.? (or let's just say your wife to be appropriate as most people are older family men and will have to exercise restraint if they are good people / that's probably more appropriate!)

2- When you inflate your penis do you then feel quite horny? (say if you have 'a loaded gun' / have built up your sperm over a couple days). Example - With an 'inflated' / 'erect' prosthetic penis once inflated do you feel like you just need urge to 'jump on your lady' so to speak? .. or will you have a casual non foreplay conversation with her about how it's time to have sex and once 'inside' you will both have a great time?


I have been looking on the forums quite a bit and my main concern with a prosthesis is with regards to foreplay - In my past relationships (especially when healthy) I found that it was thanks to my sex drive and the way I touched my woman and kissed her that typically initiated sex. Say when I walked up behind her while cooking, etc. When healthy I was a bit of a nympho which might have spurred my condition / damaging my private part in the first place. My desire for sex would essentially 'turn her on'. Do you get this desire and the magic ability back with a penile prosthesis (say when it's inflated). These 2 questions are really geared towards shedding some light on that/foreplay. How do you initiated sex? How is the physical intimacy prior to intercourse? Can people describe their experiences a little in this regard?

.. at my age this might guide my decision as to whether I just rely on loading myself up with Cialis, etc. as my condition gradually erodes or try to attack the organic root causes (only non 'band-aid' solution I have found so far is the prosthesis route and I'm 29 and don't want to wait forever.. this condition has truly detiriorated my relationships/social life in every way and I'd like to be normal enough to consider having a family, etc. one day). While not perfect it would be psychologically beneficial to me if my condition was constant/stable in a relationship. I should also mention that I have been seeing someone right now and am going to quit using Cialis - over the past 3 months it has worsened my condition tremendously.

1. I have an AMS LGX 700 and it feels great, I can barely tell it's there unless if I squeeze my penis, then I can feel a little bit of firmness but it's not too bad. And I really do love that my flaccid length is twice as long as it was before, feels good to walk around the house naked even without being pumped lol.

Now when it comes to the testicles that's a different story, I can definitely feel the pump, but again it's not too bad and doesn't really bother me. Keep in mind, I went with AMS, the Coloplast Titans have a more firmer flaccid feel to them and are a bit more noticeable. But I hear some guys on here are really happy with them as well.

2. Whether inflated or not inflated I do feel more hornier. But it's mostly more psychological for me... I mean I went from having a dick that doesn't work to one that can punch a hole through a wall. It definitely adds some "inspiration" to my day

I also have the AMS 700 LGX. Having implants (3 in the last 20 years) has improved everything. I'm almost always aware it's there - and it's all positive. If you had a libido before, it's still there, but if you had none before this probably won't change anything. I'm 72 years old and have lots more confidence around ladies than most guys my age (or any age, for that matter). I credit the implant for this. Most guys my age either know they can't come through if the opportunity presents itself, or they have doubts. It's a great feeling knowing that even at my age I'm up to it all the time.

You won't regret getting this surgery.

Exactly correct. My libido was gone for some time before my implant, and the surgery didn't change that. I'm your age and was disappointed but not surprised that the implant didn't change anything for me. We never used the implant and have been asexual for over 10 years. I still advise guys who need an implant to go ahead and get it. ED doesn't get better with age.

It makes a huge psychological difference. Knowing you can be rock hard on demand and go as long as you (or she) wants. It's about confidence.

Perhaps it is partially due to fact that I actually have greater size at flaccid than I had pre-surgery, but I often feel more "horney" on regular basis than I did for last several years prior to IPP. IMO, With implant one just knows ED is gone so has that "I know I can" feeling to give encouragement. For foreplay I still get the feeling of erection starting although I know it is not enough for penitration without inflating. I can still get swelling in glands at certain point also. Maybe it is my imagination, but I find the head of penis seems to feel colder at times.

The lack of stress around will it work or not since it alwys does has increased both mine and my wife's libido. Sensation normal and ease of orgasm also better since stress down.

Bill - do you have problems reaching orgasm when having intercourse? I have no trouble now but that is a worry of mine should I go this route

After reading stories here regarding issues if pumped all the way I dont pump all the way and still plenty hard. I am so fresh from surgery that pumped all the way might be sore with intercourse, All that said I have no problem having an orgasm in fact less so because I am enjoying the sensations rather than being distracted by will it stay hard. Now I know no rush which actually makes it happen quicker. Just so nice being relaxed and in the moment annd my wife is as well making her experience better as she isnt worried about me.

Hi Bill, This is great info and news! I hope that other members can experience the same success and that it is long lasting ! (Time wise, i.e., decades/years, etc.). I'm feeling a sense of hope that things can /will get better, heh
