Taking Cialis Daily vs As-Needed

Did you have an RP?

My uro had me on 5mg daily after my RP 3 years ago; he said that Cialis can help to heal the damaged nerves. I did take it for a while but it gave me the worst possible acid reflux problem you can imagine. So he said to try taking 20mg as needed for sex.

So I don't really know if one equals the other. It's probably impossible to predict. What might work on one person may not on another.

No I don't have RP. I just don't like to take the 10mg dose as needed. I like to have it always in my blood so its there when I need it.
However I am afraid if the erections of daily dose wont be as good as as-needed dose.

Have taken cialis 5 mg daily use for about 4 or 5 years. Since prostate cancer radiation ten years ago, I had been on Viagra and Cialis 20 mg for which insurance covered 8 pills a month. I switched to the 5 mg daily use because of worsening problems with being able to empty my bladder. Took it and tamsulosin (flomax). Since it lasts longer in the blood stream than viagra, I think you have a cumulative dose at any point in time of more than 5 mg.

But I rarely wake up with a morning erection, and will sometimes skip some days and take 2 or 3 Cialis 5 mg if masturbating and erection not firm or doesn't last. I think it is basically the same as taking a 10 mg or 15 mg.

Idea of daily dose is to not have to "plan" for use, as somewhat the case with other dosing. What the adds do not tell about most of ED, blood to penis, drugs is that only around 70 % of those using can tolerate without side effects as mentioned by others. Cialis made me sick also and while a good drug, I never felt the as needed dose lasted 36 hours. If you can tolerate and afford daily dosing, I think it good......and it keeps you ready.

I was taking daily 5mg and noticed my penis was thicker all the time after two weeks or so. Started having some morning erections and firmer when I masturbate. Got down about something and stopped for about 4 days and thickness disappeared. Back on now and feel like I should have kept it going. Trying to avoid the final step "Implant" even though one is set for July with Dr. Kramer. I would prefer someone closer and may turn to Dr. Lentz. Reading some things make me wonder if the implant is the way to go or stay with pills and pumps.

Update,

I have been taking daily Cialis for about 5 weeks. I really like it, I have very hard morning erections. I was very worried the first 2 times that I had sex, thinking 5mg wont give me good erections, but i had great sex, I had no leg nor back pain the first week that I didn't have sex, but right after the first sex, crazy back and leg pain appeared. Pain was very very bad. I stopped for only one day and the pain disappeared. I got back on the 5mg daily and had no pain despite having very hard sex couple of times per week. I was very happy that the pain didn't come back.

What I love the most about taking daily Cialis is that, my anxiety has came down to almost zero. I am very confident and not saying no to opportunities, yet i jump on them. I take my time and I don't have to time things and worry about every thing. I am very relaxed and feel normal walking around with confidence. I eat normally as food is not effecting the medication, however I avoid fatty foods, sweets and alcohol. I can have morning sex and all and all, this is the best thing I have done since battling ed for the last 5 years. My dick is soft and fat when flaccid, and very hard when erect. I used condom during sex and had no problems.

I am 50, and in excellent physical condition. I workout 3 times per week and eat very healthy. I don't smoke and drink very very little alcohol.

I want to stop taking daily Cialis for 2 months because I don't want to develop tolerance, I will update.

have you had any side affects since? Are you still on it the way you mentioned. Do you have any sweats at night or during the day...like unexplained>?

I am not on daily 5mg dose for over 14 days, I am still getting OK morning wood, but my dick does not look as full and active as before. I will start on daily dose in September, The first time I had sex on daily dose, I had terrible leg and limb pain, but all went away when I stooped for only one day. I had no sweats at night nor during the day. Sometimes I experienced mild heart burn on daily dose. I drank lots of water and I was OK. I took my dose at night around 8pm, half an hour after eating dinner. I had no hearing, vision....problems.
I always had lower back and limb pain when I was using 10mg as needed.
When I am on daily dose on September, I will stay on it for 4 months.
