Does size really matter

Postby Neilbb » Wed Jun 17, 2015 6:26 pm

DOES size really matter. For some it does some it doesn't.

There's two lines of thought with this.

The cancer survivors from prostrate. From what I read here is that after the cancer there was never any erection. So in reality they had to have an implant. For these men a hard penis is perfect.

For the person that has ED for years but uses the pill the injection or vacuum pump. has a different outlook on size. Because we could still get an erection with help maybe not the best and maybe ~40% failure rate that messed with our heads. I'm talking over a period of time with the failure rate..

In my case ED was over many years at first I used the pill, then the injection for me they both had a failure rate which I did not like. Two days before the implant I had sex using the injection. It was okay . At that time I measured my penis it was 7 inches and I used it that night. After the implant and pumped up is now 5 inches now I'm hoping I can get some of that back.

So the answer is the people that had no erection anything was better the people that still could get interaction but need implant and ended up with 2 inches short they are the ones that complaint. About the size

I don't know if I'll find the 2 inches. But if I had to do it all over again I would do it I want those 2 inches but if I don't get them my sex life is still going to be great

That's a great point.

I'm in a similar situation.

I'm semi-functional right now. Some days I can have sex with pills, but the erection is unstable and if try to switch the position especially if I'm lying on my back, I lose my erection. Other days I cannot penetrate at all even with pills. I
I'm suffering from a venous leak, and this condition only gets worse with time. Injections are too painful, I hate them.

So my reasoning is being 100% functional whenever I want is worth the negative aspects of the implant, rather then being semi functional and frustrated, worrying during every intercourse whether it's gonna go down.
I'm 29 and don't want to keep being like this. I simply don't want to see myself in the next 10 years being frustrated and depressed over it anymore. It's time to fix it for good.

I guess it depends on the situation as well.

You're 70 years old, so I assume you have a loving and understanding spouse that you've been with for a long time, thus I doubt to her it would make any difference at all if you're couple of an inches short.

In my scenario, I don't want to settle down just yet. if I end up losing a lot of size, I'd be insecure about it, and worrying whether every new girl I'll hook up with will be happy with the size. I know I'll lose a bit, but I'm hoping it won't be substantial.

Only a week left until my procedure.... *gulp* :| :| :| Terrified of the thought of waking up after the surgery and seeing a very short penis.

wishing you the best pockie. It took me a LONG time to get my head around doing another irreversible surgery being the implant. I hope to get one this year after a 3 year fight trying. Hope I do not lose my nerve which I almost have several times. Having non working parts messes with your head. going from that disappointment to a smaller size would still mess with mine too. Dr. Bullock told me he did not care if it was 10" long when you were in preop and it shrunk to 3 when you got into the cold O.R.. He said 3" would be what you have and it would be hard and that is all he cared about. That did not go well. He made it clear that hard was all he cared about and he did not care if it was the size of your little finger as long as it was hard. As long as you have a doc that gives a damn, that should help. Make sure doc knows your concerns and seems to care about doing his best to address them. If he tells you something like Bullock did me, take a hike and don't let that jerk touch your parts.
Take care, keep us posted. I have followed your posts with interest. ED started at 30 for me after a hernia repair. total after the prostatectomy in 2009. I do not know if there even was an inflatable implant 30 years ago but surely it would have been better than dealing with the impotence for 27 years I've put up with this. got to the point is has been hard for my wife to deal with the last 15 years. I can't wait till your post that says it is done! We al need the chance to say something is normal about our lives. d

Prior to Peyronies, I was at about 6 1/2 inches erect, but had ED problems for about 2 years before that. Effectiveness of pills tailed off, as did injections. Peyronies finally left me completely impotent. That's when I opted for an implant in May 2014. Peyronies had already cost me some length; the implant straightened out the curve caused by the Peyronies. My penis is now 5 inches, and girth is about what it was before surgery. (wife is satisfied with both). My surgeon says I should continue to pump it up twice a day 18 months out. He believes I will continue to gain length and girth.
