12 hours left *gulp*

12 hours left until surgery - *gulp*. Getting cold feet at times, and questioning this decision. It's a tough decision for me since I'm not 100% impotent. At times it shows life with meds, but it's cannot stay up for long. Deep down I know this is the way to go

I hear ya. 7 days to go for me. We have come this far. By this time tomorrow you'll be on your way to recovery with all of it behind you. No more little blue pills. No more pumps and rings. No more sticking a needle someplace you would rather not. No more having to actually schedule time for sex cause you had to plan ahead. This time tomorrow you get to plan what happens when your doc gives you the green light to use your new toy.
Best wishes, good luck for a speedy and easy recovery.
I'll be just a few days behind you.
Take care and God bless.

Thank you. I feel the same way as you. I'm hoping that everything will work well so that have to stop with those stupid viagras, levitras, cock rings and other stuff I started to hate. Even when I used those, they would either partially work, or only work on some occasions, they would often give me a terrible headache. At times I felt the frustration was bigger than the pleasure and that I should stop putting effort into fixing my penis and focus my life on other stuff. Only way to make myself feel reasonable was to compare myself with someone with a more serious disease, I was like "Someone has cancer, and I'm worried that my penis is not working" .

This is not the way to live life, gotta have the problems fixed, not ignored or avoided so I'm hoping everything will go well. Don't want to compare myself to people having cancer.

I wish you the best of luck in your journey, you're getting pretty close - 7 days. I'm sure you're getting a bit anxious and this is normal - I'm getting more and more anxious as it gets closer.

I dream that I'll be have a decent penis post-surgery and be able to go at any time. My biggest concern is loss of size, the surgeon assured me that he'll do everything possible to retain as much size as possible, and took extra care into the measurements both flaccid and erect (using an injection)

Yep, I was there 7 nights ago. Didn't sleep that well. That seems like 7 weeks ago now. Good luck, definitely the right decision. Wasn't going to get any better and once you have that off your plate, that will make you healthy in whole. The stress and the let downs, constantly questioning things will all be gone.

How are you feeling now, are you regretting it, or do you feel as if you made the right decision?

That was my reasoning. The pills working only occasionally and partially produced a lot of disappointment, anger and frustration. This is only going to get worse with age.

I'm still young - 29 years old, and don't want to waste what's left of my prime years obsessing and being frustrated over this. Wondering whether it will be hard enough, or stay hard for long enough. Already wasted a lot of good years due to this.

Well people think I look 29, not sure if that is a good thing or not in this condition, but I can totally see where you are coming from. Being Day 6 post-op for me, I can tell you what each day will be like for you and see if we are on the same pace. Today was the first time I could awkwardly feel there are visitors down there, I'm sure I will get used to it, but this was the first day of no swelling, so it makes sense. But the good news was I have had zero pain to this point. Only painful thing is the Foley when you move or cough and of course when they take it out.

& Wait until you wake up and look at your guy all bandaged up down there. It is a sight you will never forget! Stuff happened after that (apparently I was in a bad mood) that I don't remember, but that was as vivid as me typing right now.

My one fear is that it won't be hard enough, but Ive read mixed reviews on that. Some say it's great, most seem to say our 18 year old selves are still top dog. But they do check it in the room and I was told I was good to go. I'm not activating it until about the 5 week mark so I don't have good feedback on that yet, but I'm already in a better place mentally. I might cry the first time I use it due to excitement. To date, a nearly flawless experience. I hope to say the same thing 4 weeks from now, when I rev this thing up.

Pockie, right about now you're probably getting wheeled into surgery and getting prepped. In a couple hours you will have a whole new adventure beginning. You'll do great. Lots of guys have told me to not get too excited about what my penis looks like immediately after surgery. Its probably going to be shorter to start with but that greatly improves over time. Its gonna be black and blue and swollen but that goes away too. The shaving is something I'm really NOT looking forward to. I have had that before and since I'm pretty hairy it itches a lot when it grows back lol. Your surgeon knows what he is doing by the different measurements he took. He will measure again in the operating room. My surgeon takes a photo of the penis when he tests it pumped up during the operation to show the patient the results.
Gotta keep telling myself these things too ! :). Getting a few jangled nerves facing the countdown. Just keeping 'eyes on the prize' so to speak.
Let us know how you're doing when when you're feeling up to it. Hope today is easy for you and as pain free as possible.

Yep, the shaving thing is rough. That itching is horrible. Day 7 for me now and it's the first time I didn't wake up itching.

So how are you feeling now otherwise? Swelling and pain subsiding? Did your doc leave you partially inflated? Mine (Garber in Philadelphia) leaves his patients about half inflated for 2 weeks
Hope all is going well with you. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

Thanks MickC

Today as day 7 has been the best day by far. Swelling and pain has been pretty much non-esxitent the last two days, except once which I will get to shortly. I flew out east to have Dr. Kramer do mine. He left me at 15%.

The biggest issue for me so far has been sleeping. If I slept on my back, I would be in business. I'm a side and stomach sleeper 90%. Only time I sleep on my back is if I fall asleep that way and I eventually do a course correction. ONE night two nights ago I woke up on my stomach and I don't know how long I had been there, but it HURT. Aside from the Foley Day 1, that is the only time I felt pain. I took two Motrins immediately and I was good to go 30 mins later. I am now positioning a large pillow on each flank so I don't flip back on my stomach. If I'm on my side, it works because I put the respective pillow in between my legs to give me adequate spacing. Also trying to train myself to sleep on my back.

I was told this would be the first day I could go back to work. Based on what I read here I took off the entire week (3 days last week, all 5 this one). I see why he said that, I could see myself functioning today. I have to run two short minor errands today which will be the first time outta the house since flying back here. From a recovery standpoint, I can honestly say this has gone much better than I was anticipating. I hadn't read about the itching over here, so that was the only thing that caught me off guard. God bless our women for the work they do down there. Don't know how they do it!
