Totally confused

Postby larrys1 » Wed Jul 01, 2015 11:46 pm

Hi. My name is Larry. I am 54 years old. I've been married to the same lady for 36 years. We have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I started having issues with ED at about 51. It started as a oops! What happened sort of thing and thought it may be related to a few too many drinks. It has gotten progressively worse to the point that I cannot get hard at all for penetration and cannot even masturbate. About 2 years ago I saw a urologist and found iut I was low-t at 133 ng. Started on gel..switched to injections which really helped for awhile. Went to a hormone soecialist and tried Clomid which worked awesome for 6 months and all of a sudden crapped out. Switched to a mens clinic and have been on T injections..HCG and Anastrozole for 8 months. My levels run 1100 ng now consistently. Natural erections are still a thing of the past and Viagra does not work. I do trimix which does work and I am grateful but sure miss spontaneity. Weird thing I cannot explain is I have throbbing rock hard erections from about 2 am until I get up. I need some answers if anyone knows. Do I need a sex therapist to deal with failure issues? I don't think it's physical because of my night time erections. Help!
Problems began in 2011 at 51 yo. I did testosterone/HCG/Anastrozole but it didn't fix erections. Pills and tri-mix worked then failed. Had AMS 700 CX installed on Feb 2nd 2016 by Dr. Thomas Walsh at University of Washington.

My story was very similar to yours. I am currently 73, but started having issues in my late forties. At the time, I was in an unhappy marriage and blamed it on that. While dating after divorce, I had the issue continually. Finally remarried and had success part of the time. Started taking the pills when they came out. That helped for a while. Then went to the injections which weren't very helpful. Finally, my urologist told me that sometimes it doesn't matter what is causing the impotency, you just have to do something about it. So, after years and years of frustration, I had an implant about 18 months ago. After healing and getting used to it, my wife and I are now having the best sex that we have had in years. If all else fails, there is still hope with an implant.

Do the erections you get at night go down if you stand up for a while? Or are you only able to get rock hard while lying down?

Hi Larry, then when your having these really good erections then strike while the poker is hot, this way we make good use of what we have, my wife gets the same from me.
By the way have had ED did my own thing with herbs and a hormone, and its worked for me, this was after Viagra gave me bad side effects.
I have these posts on here, give them a look up but just google them, it would be your choice in you want to give it a try, if you do please give it 12 weeks, somethings need time to work.

I would strike but as soon as I go to enter, it goes limp. I notice too my heart starts pounding hard. I really think I am having performance anxiety panic attacks. I think physically I am fine because I have great night time erections while relaxed and not worrying. But I have had so many failures in the last couple years, I think my mind is screwed up now. Think I'm going to seek counseling.

Hi Larry Then start having sex at 2am use it why you have got it, my wife likes to be woken with a rock hard cock, it surprises them and they love it, its like a dream coming true for them, one minute there dreaming of sex next its the real thing, but after all this time cant really see it being you mind, unless its stress from work, stress is a great sex killer, try getting more relaxed before sex, but lay off the alcohol and smoking? also sex killers.

Do look at your diet, things like fast and junk foods are sex killers along with sodas, far to high in sugars and salt.
If you can get out and do some good walking, very brisk, and for the full body workout get in swimming, but get your mind clear before sex, if you can get into some meditation that will clear you mind.

All this is just the simple stuff, but it works.

Good Luck

But my night time erections are awesome. So I don't think so.

Being able to get an erection lying down and unable to keep it when getting up or changing positions is a classic symptom of venous leak
