I feel you man, big big decision, but unfortunately, considering the situation, it's not like we have very many options.

Thank you for reinforcing that it isn't purely a mechanical device- this is by far my biggest fear; that when I'm not having intercourse / pumped up I won't be in the moment desiring the other person when I see, touch, kiss and feel attractive her or look into her eyes at the dinner table. It will be great to know that I can get it up at the end the night but that's more on the psycholigcal / mechanical side of things than something that enhances one's physiological / aroused state. I'm hoping that I'll be walking around with a real desire to 'pump up' my implant and that if I'm looking/touching/kissing, etc. an attractive women she will feel this connection - is this possible say at a bar if your dick isn't getting harder without pumping?

- this is by far my biggest anxiety with regards to my ED - I currently feel a lack of connection sexually say if I'm making out with a woman (and not pumped up on oral meds) because if I'm not 'getting hard' I'm nit really in it / truly horny. I just want to make sure I make the right decision.

I actually had the same concern about it being a mechanical device, but fortunately it's not like that. After a few months, it becomes part of you and you don't even feel it's there. Just like when you put veneers in your teeth, at the beginning you can tell there's a foreign body inside, but after that your body adapts and it becomes a part of you.

I've always been very horny, including when I had ED problems, and when I didn't have them. My libido has been pretty much the same.

After the implant, it feels the same. But I'm only 10 days post-op. I'd need a few months to give you a better response.
Currently I have a feeling that I'll be hornier, since I'll know my penis would work. With ED, I would not try to have sex as much as I wanted since it was not possible, the pills only lasted a few hours, and you could only take them once per day. And even when I did use them they wouldn't always work.

Hi Pockie - thanks for the input again.

I guess to be really specific I'm defining the degree of horniness to an ability to get eroused -

Before ED I would get erections when I saw a hot girl and had sexual thoughts about her - or from kissing, etc.

Then if I liked her a lot it would be off to the races to try to sleep with her. That feeling of blood waiting to fill my private part or that feeling of having a strong erection was really what made me horny and induced the sexual thoughts / desire to engage in foreplay or flirtateous childlike humour with the girl, etc.

Wasn't this the case with you before your ED? Do you get any of this back with an implant? Are we defining horniness in the same way?

I'm really interested in what you or people have to say - in part to understand my own sexuality and (of course) to understand expectations with an implant. Cheers,

PS- I really appreciate this advice guys. Really trying to feel upbeat and positive about my life and carve out a path forward but it's tough mentally - I'm feeling pretty grim, heh

Funny9097 wrote:I find this interesting - I'm wondering what you're symptoms were when you had ED.

For me I have poor circulation to my penis (likely peyronie's, etc.) which is making it small (and hard) when non erect or 'flaccid'. If I 'flex' my penis muscle hardly any blood flows in. Before I would get boners from seeing/thinking about a hot girl in class or when walking down the street, or watching a sex scene in a movie, or a maxim magazine even. Now I have difficulty getting anything from porn (and I'm not a big porn user or anything).

On Cialis when it works the erection ability comes back, but the effectiveness and reliability I am having with Cialis is fading :| . If I'm with a girl the extent to which I'm horny is largely equal to the size of my erection or that feeling my penis is telling me that if I start kissing her it's going to get hard and stay that way until a job well done. If the erection ability is not present I don't really feel horny.

Isn't this the same with everyone? Pockie - I guess I'm defining horniness as arousal - if the arousal isn't there you don't get really horny in a night club, or watching something erotic, etc.

Sorry for the continued discussion on this topic - I'm interested largely to better understand my own sexuality / libido as well as to get a clear sense of expectations with the implant.

I've always been a laid back horn dog, always got a slight puff up at porn movies, but I've noticed that over the years it's not MY hornie that gets the "desire" wound up beyond highly interested.................but let my partner start getting all hott and squirming and moaning and BY GOD it's ON. My blood gets pumping and my desire skyrockets and I got one thing on my mind......MAKE HER SQUIRM AND MOAN HARDER, LOUDER..MORE AND MORE AND MORE THEN............throw the boy into the breech and hear and feel the squeal that a woman lets out when FINALLY he's F****KN me....oh yes..more...harder...faster....oh God don't stop.

In plain terms, the more I can wind her up the more wound up I get, Me and the "Boy" enjoy the windup and ride to paradise!...........never enjoyed knot hole's in a fence or something just laying there motionless.... and a picture without sound and motion is just a picture naked or not...no matter how beautiful. Now I know I can DO IT HARDER, AND DANG SURE LONGER......till they beg me to stop as they can't breathe anymore from one shaking orgasm after orgasm HEHEHEHE. I can now finish what I start!

Ahhh life's going get fun again!!!! And I'm almost 65.....look out ladies coming your way soon!.....................................Line starts to the right!!

lol - thanks for the anecdote - I'm hoping to be good in bed with the implant - that would be dandy. I appreciate the humor.

I see you just had yours though so this isn't first hand experience I'd assume.. hopefully people with experience here can chime in

I do need to keep this positive mindset, in general ;)

LOL...no, no experience yet with the implant, but 30 yrs with a working one.....the other stuff is fact up until my early 50's when the boy started acting up. The ED for the last 14 years will just be a speed bump in a few weeks........once the "Boy" is all healed up and able to stay up (again) I'm going to hit the rewind and "Start making up for lost time". With the added factor now that no matter what interruptions come along that he'll be "standing by waiting". Most women I've known if given a choice would opt for a 5" penis that stay's hard till THEY finish versus a 8" that never makes it to the finish line.......especially the older one's. I've seen 40 & 50 yr old women still wanting more when the young women are wore out. Most women don't really hit their maximum sexual peak until their 40's, then its Katie Bar the door. I used to be in a "certain lifestyle" from mid twenties until my late 40's so that is absolute tried and true experience about most women...no bravado. I've rarely seen a woman turn down an offer from a nice stiff one because of mere size or length (baring a mini-micro or long dong silver). In a room full of softies the ladies will almost always drift over to the few "left standing" for one more ride....

So think positive, with a good attitude and personality along with something that works 99 44/100% every time, your going to have a nice Looooonnnnngggg time for fun!

At your age, with your issue's you really have little to lose.....and much to gain. Better odds than the stock market! So do some more reading, talk with several Drs. that perform these, pm some of the members, do your homework. It IS a serious decision, but if your issue is a reversable psychological one, then go that route a while....if it is a physical one with little viable other options then the implant is a logical move unless a life as a Buddhist Monk is an option.
Good luck

Funny seems some have an option? I went thru pills, shots and pumps nothing. I am in my 50's and no use for 3 years. I am smaller and not as big around but 100 percent hard which is better that 7" of soft!
I had no choice so it was easy for me

With having ED since my 20's I have always been horney but not acting on it often cuz you just don't know if the meds are going to work. Now with the implant I express and act on it all the time. Wife says she doesn't know who I am because i am different than what she is used to. When I see an attractive women I still get that feeling of blood rushing down under, maybe it's my glans engorging, I don't know. I just know there is nothing better than knowing that you have something that can and will work as long as you like.

Thank you JTVallee -

A quick question - in your case has that feeling of blood rushing down under been enhanced or reduced by an implant? (I'm talking about the arousal feeling when seeing someone attractive more than the blood itself) - with the tubes filled with salt water once aroused does it feel like blood?

In my case I don't typically get much arousal down there without the meds and even then it's unreliable.

It would be great to know that you can stay hard as long as you want :)

I would say it is enhanced, because psychologically you know you can or could react with success
