Deflating. For those of you who have had implants for months
Deflating. For those of you who have had implants for months
Currently I am inflated 15%-20% post surgery. I haven't started cycling yet. When I do and get the hang of it, is there any reason to ever not deflate to 0% at all times? My gym days are over and I'm with a long time girlfriend, so I don't need a bump for show. when I start cycling in a couple weeks, my guess is I am either 100% full go or zero. Is that correct? Or is there some longevity benefit to always having something in the cylinders?
Re: Deflating. For those of you who have had implants for months
I reckon we have all wondered about this, even as a party trick, so it's a bit surprising no-one has answered...
There might be something with longevity in never allowing the cylinder walls to kink.....?? Any suggestions??
My implant is only 20 days old, and I'm still getting over having a flaccid that is at softest more erect than I could (mostly) managed before, and trying to manage what people take to be a 6.5 inch semi-erection while being comfortable when sitting, bending down, walking etc.
When I calmly think about it, I reckon that sittig and walking would cause too much discomfort, and possibly damage to the implant if it were not properly drained.
The other problem is that unless you had 100% impotence before surgery, many or most men still have some ability for natural erections, and partial inflation would cause too much stimulation.
Does anyone "leave it partially up" ?

Most people experience a bit of "auto inflation". After you deflate, and squeeze your penis until completely flaccid, the cylinders usually fill up a tad with fluid in time.

Agree. My surgeon recommended complete deflation to be safest. If a little "show" is needed, one can always add a few pumps....but not on daily basis. b

I thought I was flopping down on the chair too hard lol
In all seriousness I seem to grow thru the day. It does not deflate when you try. I pump it a couple times then drain again!

Best to completely deflate once given the all clear by your doc to inflate and deflate especially early on. Completely deflating pushes fluid back into the reservoir to ensure that as that reservoir pocket is healing it heals with enough space to not force fluid out of the reservoir and cause auto inflation. At least that is what I have been told. I notice that blood fills in around the deflated cylinders after awhile making my penis more full again. I know it is not the cylinders refilling because if I feel the cylinders still feel flat and none of the vibration sensation or sound I get when deflating the cylinders. Hope that helps.
