Senior Citizen

Postby LittleArt » Wed Jul 22, 2015 8:32 am

This blog has been an inspiration to me, and I hope that my thoughts can be an inspiration to the other "Vietnam" era folks. I am 80 years old and one day shy of starting (I pray) a new era with an implant. I have been through all the same trials that many of you have had and decided to go ahead with the operation as really the last hope. My wife has encouraged me to go through with this and of course I am somewhat apprehensive of the procedure, but will press on. I intend to let you know how It all goes, and hopefully prove that age is not an obstacle. LittleArt

Congrats! I continue to be a little surprised at how many men have intact libido at advanced age. I'm 72 and have had zero libido for years following a stroke. Perhaps if the stroke had not occurred I'd still be in the game. Life without sex is livable, but I haven't forgotten what it was like. Good luck with your procedure.

My wife and I both have pretty good libido and enjoy sex several times a week.
If my wife ever wanted me to get an implant, I'd do it in a heart beat.
I think that's half the battle.

My wife and I enjoy penetrative, though not always orgasmic , sex at least five days a week. However, I need to use. Trimix injections and or a VED. Not yet ready to commit to an implant.

Congratulations on your persistence and dedication.

My operation was on Thursday, came home on Friday. Apparently Medicare requires an one night stay. Procedure was not an issue, no pain to speak of. Kind of uncomfortable which should be expected. Will see the doc next week, the normal procedure and see if all went well. Not much more to tell, am healing with a small erection at the moment. I will answer any questions that you might have. As mentioned I only wanted to encourage some older folks that maybe think their love live is over. I figure that things could not get any better and I was convinced that this was the right think to do. More to follow.

Wife is 78 if that is any help. Probably have sex 2 to 3 times per month, trimix is an intimacy killer. Hope things pick up a little.

Art, I think it's nice that your wife still is interested in sex at 78.
I don't feel that trimix is an intimacy killer, but it definitely takes some planning.
I could probably ambush my wife, but it doesn't seem to be necessary. She's pretty much expecting sex on non golf days. She says it takes too much out of me to play golf after using the drugs and sex. She's probably right lol.

I probably did not explain enough. Trimix for me only gave me half an erection and only then when I stood up. I was using a full 1cc of the strongest the doc would prescribe. On one occasion I used .7cc on each side and saw no difference. I had no other option. If trimix had worked I would still be on it. If the implant works as advertised then it will be a good choice even if trimix had worked. Good Luck !!
