I've also been diagnosed with a venous leak by doppler ultrasound, and have consulted with Dr Kehhuas. I am planning to go for surgery this coming week and will update my experiences and outcomes here for the community. I have searched for any feedback on others that have done this surgery, but there isn't a lot online - so thought I would join the forum and share my experiences.

I'll be on a course of Cialis daily for a month afterwards, which will cost a further £80 and was not clearly communicated to me at the beginning but that's not really a biggie for me, regardless of whether I think this will work or not, a procedure like this needs to be ticked off my list ASAP so I can start researching implants (injections have so far left me with a throbbing pain). The fact ive now noticed my first signs of size reduction (I.e atrophy) since this began means the clock is now well and truly ticking.

My hopes are actually not high for this procedure, but as stated I'll be keeping all of you closely in the loop.

I'll definitely be praying for you on the 5th of August so that the procedure be a success!

You've probably written about it on an earlier post but since when do you suffer from ED ?
I'm 39 years old. Never was able to maintain my erections for more than 1 minute. Pills don't work. Had sclerotherapy by Dr. Kuehhas in Austria in 2016. Didn't work. Injections (Caverject) are the only things that gave me acceptable results.

I absolutely agree with you - when I used PD5 drugs when this thing first appeared along with kegels, I could be pretty confident that I'd perform adequately without much of a sweat...now it would simply better the odds slightly, but it'd still be a gamble, especially as I find that PD5s only help you KEEP it up not GET it up.

Weird... In my case it does the exact opposite. PE5 drugs help me get it up but no keep it up.

I really enjoy reading everybody's posts here. Obviously I don't like seeing you guys suffering but it gives a lot of comfort knowing that other people in this planet can relate to me.

PDE5 never really worked for me. It's been more than 1 year since I started using injections (caverject). Although it never really worked 100%, I'd say that in the beginning it would give me a 75% erection which was just enough to have some kind of a penetration. Now it is a little frightnening cause it doesn't seem to be working as good as in the beginning already... My erections tend to fluctuate between 50% and 75%. Implants are also my last option unless the sclerotherapy really works. I am only 31 and very active so I really want to postpone the implants as much as possible.

It happened almost 1 year a good and I still remember it like it was yesterday, when a girl I was seeing told me she felt frustrated cause she was horny and I couldn't even f*** her. Although she was a little drunk when she said that, the truth came out of her mouth that night. People could argue that I shouldn't want to be around a girl like that, but her comment still hurt me to my soul. It took part of my masculinity away...

I thank God for this forum! Such a huge relief for me...

If you need an implant, get it. Waiting will not improve anything. The longer you wait, the more frustration you'll endure. If, like me, you wait too long it may be too late.

Today I met Dr Kehhuas in Vienna, where he performed an ultrasound after a caverject injection. He confirmed that my inflow was good and that my outflow was much greater than is normal - confirming I have a venous leak.

He discussed my history, the condition, operations, success rates, possible issues and failure etc. He was very professional, friendly and considerate.

I have decided to go ahead and try the operation, and will have it done tomorrow morning.

I'll update progress on here, but feel free to ask any questions.

I've just been discharged after the surgery this morning and all seems to have gone well.

Both Dr Kuehhas and Prof Dr Herwig performed the operation which took about 45mins under local anesthetic.

They made a cut near the base of the penis, identified the deep dorsal vein, put in a catheter, injected the contrast and took an X-ray. They said there were a lot of veins showing the outflow and that it was as they expect to see due to the the venous leak. Unfortunately the nurse assistant forgot to print a copy of this for me.

They mixed the sclerotherapy agent and injected it, I was told to push like I was going to the toilet for a minute to keep the agent in the veins. This was repeated a second time.

The after X-ray was taken and showed minimal outflow & they printed this one for me.

I have been asked to abstain from sexual activities for 2 weeks, however he said nocturnal erections etc are fine. I will also need to take 5mg cialis for the next month.

They seemed pleased with the operation and results, so I'm really hoping it all turns out well once I'm recovered.
