a couple questions

Postby Funny9097 » Sat Aug 08, 2015 11:35 am

Hi everyone,

I am really seriously considering getting an implant - I apologize if some of the questions are similar to prior posts. My main concerns are due to my age and here goes with them / questions -

1- I'm 29 - I'm concerned that if I get an implant it might work the first time around (orgasm, sex drive, etc) but that much work 'on the pipes' down there could mean that on the 2nd or 3rd (or even 4th/5th) things might not function correctly. That perhaps Id end up with an inability to orgasm or in sy 15-20 years loose my drive for sex due to the revisions. Is this crazy gang? Any long time implantees have any feedback?

2- This operation is pretty invasive. Putting plastic in scrotum/penis, etc and anti-biotics, etc. Does anyone know the extent to which this affects sperm count and health? Are there any studies? I know most implantees are older.

3- My libido is generally tied to how frequently I have sex. For example if not having had sex for a few days sperm/ejaculate builds up. When I could still get good erections this would eventually get to the point where I couldn't stand it anymore and would have to have sex or masturbate. Is this experience similar with an implant?

I'm in a relationship and I can get erections sometimes but it's inconsistent and they aren't strong without oral meds. Also over the years it feels that despite living a quite healthy lifestyle and staying quite fit the problem has progressively gotten worse to the point it is at today. I feel demasculated/like less of a man. There are serious pros and cons to this approach. Really looking for honnest feedback, with regards to the above questions in particular as well as what to do.

Best,

As much as you post you are due. Just keep in mind it isn't going to get any better than it is on its own. Is this what you want? You seem to be having success with pills. So if it makes you more comfortable, ride out the pills as long as you can. If I mis-read you and the pills aren't that great or too inconsistent then do it.

My orgasms are getter and it has zero effect on sperm count.

It's invasive but then again it isn't. It's only one incision. Yes there's a lot of bending and stretching and manipulation once you are opened up on the table but all things considered only having one incision is pretty impressive.

I can't answer anything long-term because I haven't hit the two-month mark. Go for a surgical consult at the very least. If you don't feel comfortable after then walk away and stick pills out until you fail 100%. My only recommendation to you is you MUST go with an elite implanter. That is your absolute best shot to minimize/eliminate any concerns you have.

When all is said and done I really think going ahead with an implant makes the most sense.

Really hope the end result is a success and that after this procedure it feels 'alive' down there. I can tell you in a relationship it generates a ton of anxiety to have this kind of problem. Not only does the girl feel like she isn't all that special but frankly in a lot of ways it's just not fun hanging out with a female partner (at least for me) without good sex and a consistent/reliable year after year (even if not perfect) erection and performance. If that's where I'm at I'll take mechanical over that I think so long as the implant is pretty successful.

Love to hear some other responses from implanted fellas.

Having an implant has absolutely no effect on your libido, but does provide you with tremendous confidence.
I'm 75 and got an AMS Ultrex in 1995. Had it replaced in 1999. Got a new AMS 700 LGX in 2013.

Hi JerGeezer,

Thank you for your response. I am very interested in your knowledge as you have had an implant / 2 revisions over 20 years.

A question I have is whether you were able to orgasm in 1995 when you got your first implant? If yes, did the ability to do so while having intercourse increase or decrease over the span of 20 years and 2 revisions? How about sensitivity?

Also, how about size (length / girth) - how has it faired throughout the generations of implant?

Would you recommend an implant to someone my age (29) who has some success with oral meds and will likely have to undergo several revisions?

Thank you so much for your feedback.
