I might add one thing flman---I also did not have a catheter. But watch out for that female doctor. Before she discharges you, her job is to deflate you. I came out of surgery about 70% inflated. I asked her how experienced she was at this, and she said "oh, a lot". She's a very sweet lady, but I don't think I've ever felt pain like I did when she tried to activate my release valve. She used every bit of the strength in her hands, tried 4 times, got it down to maybe 50%, and gave up. Maybe my screaming had something to do with it also. Ha.

Ok here are words that I never thought I would put together like this.....

LMCatman has it right. Dr. Perito did mine about 1 year ago, and I will underline that "great" part. He is all of that and then some. If I ever require a replacement, He will be the Dr. to do it. Also, Zuly, who I believe is the office manager, and also a most beautiful lady, will be there for you to answer most any question. If she doesnt have it, she will get it for you. If I can answer any question or concern you may have - fire away and I will sure try to help you.

Good Luck,

Charley

Thanks Charlie for your comments.....it all helps. Do you happen to know if Perito does in fact offer a choice of checking out the same day as surgery and staying at the Sonesta....as opposed to the hospital overnight. The Sonesta just sounds so much better.

Really, being in the hospital with people taking care of you is better. Either way, it's an unpleasant night!
