Get prescription filled for all your POST OP meds before the operation. I didn't and an hour after the walking out of the hospital I had to walk across COSTCO to get my meds filled. It being Saturday ALL the power cart were in use.

Re: What I Know Now: PRE-OP
Buy your underwear in well before the OP.
BIKE jock straps run small on me, so whatever your waist size is get one size larger. BTW my BMI is less than 25 and I look liked the Pillsbury Doughboy with the first one I bought.
Bought two types of underwear others have recommended here on FT, both have pockets to keep you STRAIGHT UP. Both have extra stitching to hold your scrotum supported.
Amazon has a brand that has a cover on the glan, so once you get it straight up, it covers over the top. Post Op I did not like this, as it impeded me getting the little fella up right. They are 4 for $50.
International Jock has an upright tube and is is open, you can grab the head and straighten it up. They are $25 each. They come Jockey style and short style, MY CHOICE.
I put Jockey Shorts or the Bike on top of them to keep every thing up against my body. In this position it decrease the bulge in front and I don't think it looks like I have a hard on. Several pairs will allow you to wash them twice a week.
You will want to keep it upright for two reasons: one, two keep it straight and two, to keep the pump centered.

Re: What I Know Now: PRE-OP
I used the VED Protocol prior too my IPP. There are several post on this on FT, get the article by Dr. Dineen. I followed it for nine weeks prior to my operation.
I will try an post a picture of my marked VED cylinder, I have used it for the past nine weeks. I followed Dr. Dineen preop protocol from his paper "Vacuum Preparation, Optimization Length and Postoperative Daily Inflation Reduce Complaints of Shortened Penile Length Following Implantation of IPP". I began this therapy in the hopes it will lessen the pain, reduce loss of length and decrease recovery time.
The cylinder is marked to show weekly progress for the 1st 7 weeks. The flacid stretch(6-1/16") before starting the therapy and flacid stretch length after 7 weeks is 6-3/4". Pumped length was 7.5"
Doctor Cornell has different guildeline he follows and pump up is at four weeks post-op.
The following are Dr. Dineen's guidelines:
In the paper the patients are 50 % @ post op
48 hours later defeated to 25% for the next 9 to 10 days
At 9-12 days the IPP is inflated daily as much as possible up to 1 hour.

Re: What I Know Now: PRE-OP
START taking colase 2 to 3 days prior to op. The drugs used to knock you out locks up every thing. Plus the post op meds tend to lock up your bowels. Was six days before first BM.
