Needle gauge sizes

I'm using Trimix. Normally using a 30 gauge 8mm needle. This seems ok for now. I'm experimenting. Today I tried a 31 guage 8mm and got a result that I'll describe as a "miss-hit." It happens when the penis becomes bruised and temporarily disfigured; swelling and possibly blood collects under the skin on the side of the needle stick.

I assume that the medicine isn't getting to where it needs to. I'm wondering what the solution is and also if the needle size might be the problem?

I have encountered several misses with a 31 gauge needles which tends to glance off the tough tunica and bend if not positioned at an exact 90 degree angle.

I now prefer a 30 gauge, 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) needle. Rarely, if ever have I experienced a miss with one.

I had the same problem as dt. I can't seem to get 30 gauge at Walmart and have to use 29 gauge. I don't usually notice much pain with a semi on. There's actually only .001" difference in the 2 gauges.

I use an 8 mm, 30 g, 5/16". I notice someone here is shooting at a 90 degree angle - I was told to use a 2 or 10 o'clock position. I try very carefully with my positioning, but I usually experience discomfort (a stinging feeling) and sometimes I too get a bulging of the skin with a blood accumulation even after I am reasonably sure I haven't hit a vein. Effectiveness....perhaps a 50%. Any comments which might be helpful will be appreciated. I find urologists don't take much time to sort out such problems.

It sounds like you don't always get through the tunica. I'd try the 1/2" one and feel it get through, then draw a little blood to ensure you're in there.

Injecting at 2 or 10 o'clock is correct; however, the needle needs to go in at a 90 degree angle to the surface of the shaft.
