Countdown
Only 5 days now till I become a member of the BBOOA Bionic Boner Owners Of America,I am slowly adjusting my mind to the fact this is truly the Final Frontier as some have called on this great site.Three and half years ago when suddenly and without warning the little blue pill quit working I panicked and called my urologist. After some discussion about the injections which I heard about on this website I went for it and for awhile I was quite happy although the idea of a needle in my most prized appendage was not very appealing,I continued on till it became an extreme hassle what with the storage on trips (Ice)Syringes, the timing etc.Now as I posted earlier the time has come and I still like to hear from you guys that have had one installed for over 6 months or so.Are things as good as you hoped? Any regrets?Any advice on activating? I do not know if this thing comes with an owners manual, I have been told very little so far about maintenance. I hope that happens next week I do not doubt that the couch will have my impression on it for awhile when the job is done.Anyway I guess what I am looking for is a little more assurance.Even at 68 I still get frisky when I see my wife but the follow up has been missing so maybe this installation will carry me through the so called Golden years or in truth the Olden Years.Hoping for one more chance at having the fun back.Derrickman
Re: Countdown
At three months it is working fine and no regrets. There is still a bit of settling in and stretching to do, but it is all very manageable. AMS has a very good collection of patient manuals available on-line and also the surgeon's operting manual. Very interesting reading actually. Coloplast does not seem to have the same information available, at least I haven't been able to find it. Good luck with your surgery!
Re: Countdown
Derrickman,
I will be happy to tell you. I am 68 - implanted 14 mos ago with a Titan, and life is good. Waited 3 years after prostatechomy to get implanted - went thru the drill i.e. pills, pumps and injections before the implant - just wish I had done it sooner. I honestly don't know if I would have done it without stumbling upon this forum. My wife and I were still creative while I was impotent, but nothing is like being able to make love to the one you love anytime you want to and not worry for one second about keeping it up. Is it perfect? - no, but fully pumped, it is extremely hard and works as long as you want and my sensitivity is like it was years ago before the impotence. My wife really looks forward to a romp again and gets off almost every time. It is without a doubt one of the best decisions I ever made.
Best of luck to you and I hope you have a similar experience.
