I second that about the stool softener. The pain meds will slow down your bowel movements. I didn't have one for six days. And once I did have one it was like passing a watermelon.

The first couple of weeks at home I would use the urinal while on my knees, it seem to be easier. Note: immediately empty the urinal/cup, you do not want to knock it over.

A public urinal is great, but I carry a cup into public restroom since I seem to develop a horizontal spray. Four weeks post-op and have peed in so many cups I feel like I am taking a drug test every time I go to the bathroom. :D

International Jock "Balls in Cotton Erector Trunk" (30402) King Style is on waist band.

Amazon sells the DAVID ARCHY

I wear the Bike jockey strap or Jockey Briefs on top.

After using both of the choices above for four weeks, i have decided the International Jock is hand down the winner. It allows you to pull up on the penis from the top to get in in the tube and has side openings to push over to straighten it up from the sides. The David Archy has too much material covering up the top of the glans and does not allow me to get as straight up as the IJ. I cover it with a Jockey Brief which keep everything tight against my body. BTW the hospital sent me home with several of rolls of gauze which I use a layer, over the glans to my scrotum, to absorb any of the neosporin (greasy).

Bought a couple cans of prune juice, too. Watermellon seems to loosen me up plus it adds lots of water.
