First inflation
Inflated myself for the first time today, I don't know for sure if it was totally inflated or not. The bulb is very hard, I gave it about 15 pumps and I felt I was about 80% hard but I couldn't pump it anymore (hurt too much) My question is 'does the bulb get any softer after time? And how do I know when I've pumped it to its max?

The bulb will soften over time with use. When you can't pump any more it is fully inflated. Also, you'll be as hard as a railroad spike, which some women don't care for.

dg-moore is exactly correct. It will soften up some.

I don't know which one it is, all the paperwork the doctor gave me and the CD all have printed on them 'AMS 700 MS' where would I find further information?

Have an MS, it get easier the more you inflate it. However I am right handed, 9 weeks Post-Op today, my MS has gotten softer. But using my left hand it is still hard, so I need to work on that hand and side of the bulb.
After you pump it, about the 500 mark [ less see 25 times 3 times a day] in a couple of weeks it gets softer. .... and you get stronger and the skin get tougher. The number of times you push the bulb to inflate will vary as it will depend on how much fluid you got back into the reservoir when you deflated.
I found out if I used my index finger curled under the bulb and push down with my thumb I get better leverage, i.e., am using the side of the knuckle to squeeze the bulb with the thumb. The videos show people using the tips of their fingers but could not get much leverage with this method.
BTW I pump until the pump is flat. Sometimes it fills back up, I check it periodically to try and keep it flat. My VED Protocol Therapy goal is a total of 60 minutes a day at max inflation.

You can ask your surgeon or even family doc for a copy of the surgical report. I did and it gave all the details of how the surgery went and what device was used including the size of cylinders and rte's. Everything you ever wanted to know about your implant surgery and maybe stuff you didn't want to know!! Just kidding. It was very interesting actually.
