Any tips for maximizing size after surgery?
Re: Any tips for maximizing size after surgery?
I had my surgery on September 29th, went back to the doctor to get the stitches out October 13th, the doctor told me I had healed well and to start pumping it up everyday for the next month and leave it pumped for at least 45 minutes. At first it seemed as though my penis had shrunk a lot but as time passes I'm getting the length back but so far not the width. Pretty much all you can do is keep inflating it and hope for the best!

That's a scrotoplasty, had it done twice. That skin just keeps on stretching.

hendrix, if you find anything that actually works I would greatly appreciate sharing the information. I was implanted in July and have lost 2 inches, basically making intercourse impossible. I was 5 1/2 and now and 3 1/2 fully inflated. I have been cycling twice daily for an hour, every 15 minutes I'll try and squeeze a little bit more into the cylinders.
In my honest opinion I would not recommend this procedure to anyone with less than 6 inch penis.
PCHelp, I felt the same way when I had my first implant. What I didn't know was that there was deep swelling in the pubic bone area that did 2 things. Firstly, it pulled the cylinders and cavernousum rearward and back into my body, secondly it formed a firm mound around the base of the penis and in the pubic padding. The mound formation gives the impression of a lot of widening at the base, and it pushes the pubic padding upward on the penile shaft. These things combined give the impression of a really short penis. Mine took a full 9 months to correct itself. After 9 months there was NO noticable loss of length.
I've had many implants, and for me, this is the normal process. That said, I have have lost substantial length due to scaring. My case is unique, I've had 8 IPP's (both Titan/AMS LGX), malleable, and MANY revisions, infections etc.
After ALL healing is done, I doubt you will have lost more than 1/8". It takes a lot of time for some of us, be patient and stay positive. It's a process, and it does get better.

Hard Drive--I really like reading your posts. You're a very encouraging guy. Only time will tell if I have the results as you. I'm 3mo out, and everything works fine, but I'm like the many on here who feel shortchanged (pun intended). One of the things that tics me off is that I got the Titan, because girth was more my goal than length. The Titan is known to provide that. I may not be pencil thin, but I had about 5 1/2" girth before, less than 5" after. I inflate everyday, either sex, or just to exercise it. But I don't go a full hour, so maybe I'll work on that. Funny, just today, I got an email from this Elist, in California. He does enlargement. I'm tempted to investigate, but the cost is really prohibitive. Around 11k. By the way, you said you had several implants. Were they all with the same Dr, and why so many? Also, how did your ins treat you on the frequency of implants. I didn't pay a penny for mine, but don't know about replacements. I keep thinking that if I were sized differently, I could get back to at least where I started.
PCHelp, if you're on here, I've had a bit of a problem, since my lady had 5 kids, it's not exactly a tight fit. But fortunately she's, how do I say this? She's more of a grinder than a bouncer. So when she's on top, she can control the amount of penetration without disengagement. Maybe you've tried this, but thought I'd mention it. CU boys.

Re: Any tips for maximizing size after surgery?
Kidder - with the Titan, the girth can increase greatly over time depending on how you pump. I don't just mean a little girth, I mean A LOT. It takes time and a strong grip. I found that squeezing the bulb with both hands (thumb on top of thumb) I could get a lot more inflation pressure and force the cylinders to expand but we're talking pain here. I inflated several times a day and kept adding pressure as I could. It's not really easy/painless but it works well. It takes time...
The Titan is made of a much less expandable material than the AMS, it's thick and durable so it takes more pressure to cause expansion. If you're up for the pain and have the time, you'll end up with more girth than you started with. I've proven it many times on myself. This also thins out the cylinder material and makes it more flaccid when fully deflated. It takes time/determination but it works great.
My multiple surgeries are the result of a botched surgery on the very first one. After that it's like chasing the dragon trying to correct initial mistakes. I ended up with MANY different surgeons, a couple of infections, 4 device failures (pump failure, tubing disconnect, reservoir failure, cylinder leak). As I've told others, I'm the poster boy for failed implants. 3 implants had to be removed for infection. It was found that at least 2 of the infections were likely caused by contamination in the OR heated air device. Lots of lawsuits over these heated air machines causing infection during joint implants too. The heat causes bacteria to grow and is blown onto the opened flesh by the warm air it circulates. They also punctured my urethra and the back side even poked out near my anus. It was purely surgical incompetence. Finally after going from an 8" penis, I have wound up with about a 6" penis. The loss was caused by scaring and atrophy. I had to go a long while with no implant while fighting infections (twice) and suffered a loss of size. Then another surgeon placed an extremely short implant in there and I lost a lot more. To make matters worse, one doctor took it upon himself to cut or modify my suspensory ligament, and I lost all ability to manipulate my erection. It pointed straight down even with full inflation. I was actually suicidal at this point. I CONVINCED the VA to allow me to see Dr. Milam on their dime. He fixed almost everything except the loss in size and the suspensory ligament. However he was able to do some magic and now it points straight down when flaccid, and straight out when erect (actually a little upward from straight out when erect. Almost natural position now. I couldn't use it when pointed down.)
Thank God for Dr. Milam...
If the original implant were done properly, it would've been the only one needed and I'd have an entirely different story to tell. I can only hope that my misfortune won't discourage others.
The takeaway from all this... Make sure you get the very best surgeon the first time around. It makes all the difference.

ED2013, I was activated Oct 1st, I used to have some pain but that is lessing each time I inflate. I inflate twice daily for an hour each time. I will wait about 10 to 15 minutes and then try to inflate a little more. With this Titian, the pump simply stops when the cylinders are full.

Re: Any tips for maximizing size after surgery?
Hard Drive. WOW. What I mean to say is...WOW. What a story. Poster boy is almost an inadequate term. I hope you're doing better this year. The good take away from all of that, is that you're sharing. And it seems like you're saying to everyone---be patient, don't give up, and many other things. Anyway, the Titan. Everything you said agrees with so many others. I have to remind myself that 3mo is not a long time. What irritates me is, there is no pain (which would indicate stretching), even when I've pumped to the max. Characteristics--often times I'll squeeze very hard, and it's like my thumbs are positioned wrong, because I hear that high pitched gurgling sound and if I continue that way, I actually lose the hardness, so I guess it speaks for itself, I need to find the proper finger placement. But I'm gonna keep aiming for that feeling of pain. Seems like a strange conversation, no? But you say you went from 8" to 6", I think. You're still in some pretty elite company. That's about what I had when I was in my 20s, and if I could get even close to that I'd be ecstatic. But for now, I'll just work on the girth. Hey--I appreciate your info. Take care.

hard drive, did the mound get firmer as you inflated? Mine feels like part of the cylinder because it gets more firm as I inflate. I do see the wider area near the base, I plan to continue the twice daily cycling for a least year per my Urologists PA.
On a lighter side .... This should all make for a very interesting Thanksgiving holiday. My mother-in-law will be staying with us for a month. Stay tuned !

I will manage, but I just wish they (The Urologists) would make for of an effort to make it clear about this.

kidder, in your opinion would you say the resistance or hardness in the pump is due to fact the cylinders are maxed out or because they are meeting resistance from the inside of the penis?
