In my honest opinion I would not recommend this procedure to anyone with less than 6 inch penis.
Sorry to hear that. Regarding inflated size, we are in the same boat lengthwise except it is working for my wife and I. Please, I am not trying to be insulting or too personal, or too graphic, but this is Franktalk. The cowgirl position is the best because gravity works in your favor pulling any pubic fat pad you might have (I do) down exposing more of the shaft. It also works in the standard old missionary position if the woman's pelvis is at the right angle. This needs a little experimentation but you'll get it. I understand your loss in length would cause a lot of disappointment, but if your partner is open to just a little experimentation and your attitude is positive, I am sure you will come up with something that works for you both. Don't give up.
Watsup, is that the same as doggie style? We have tried missionary, doggie, and her on top. What is happening is the penis is so short that any type of movements we loose contact, this is getting to be as frustrating as loosing the erection as before. Watsup, may I ask what length you have post-op and what you were pre-op?
All the suggestions are great, but they take time to work if they are going to. In the meantime, though, you still want intercouse of course. To answer your questions, Cowgirl is the woman on top. Reverse cowgirl is the woman on top but facing away from you, towards your feet. That might work. Post-op, my penis is the about the same length as yours, 3 1/2" fully erect and with the pubic pad pressed down as much as I can. Years of ED shortened it right up and it was pretty well completely buried before surgery The glans tip was just visible, so what would that be, maybe 1/4 inch? I was maybe 4 inches when injections last worked some. But I fought ED for about 15 years so things got pretty tiny.
Things that I discovered since my surgery are:
1. the erections produced by an implant are not quite natural. In any pictures I have seen, and mine too, the penis sticks straight out at 90 degress from the body whereas a natural erection tends to slant upwards. This requires some experimenting and adjustment in body positions during intercourse.
2. an implant erection (for me at least) is much much harder than anything I ever had with a natural erection even when things worked well before ED. This might seem like a good thing if you have had no erections for years, but it does not allow the penis to adapt easily to changes in position and you lose contact (penetration) as the penis has no give to it. My wife and I have had much more success when I do NOT pump the penis up to its ultimate hardness. It is definitely firm enough for good penetration but has a little give at the base and maybe a tiny bit of flexing mid-shaft to adjust, much more like a natural erection. I know the desire is to have as hard a member as possible, but in my case harder is not better.
Try going with a little less inflation to see if that helps maintain penetration for you. I hope things work out better for you. My teenie weenie is a whole lot better than disappearing dick I had 5 months ago.

Thanks Watsup, it's worth the "ole college try" !

Here's a response I received from my doc on this question:
"Thank you for your questions. In regards to penile length, we recommend standing in front of a mirror and placing your penis in full stretch then coming back about a half inch. This is the length you can expect after surgery. Use of a vacuum erection device would be fine prior to surgery. If increased length is something you are interested we would recommend penile traction. A device we often recommend is from andromedical.com called the Andro Penis."

That's shortchanging you a half inch. Barring any scarring/peyronies a skilled surgeon should be able to size you exactly at your stretched length

Hard drive, I'm glad you asked. As you know, I'm 13 weeks out. And not very happy about a couple things. But the inflating is getting easier, pump getting softer. I needed to learn better how to stabilize the pump better. Having it slip out of my fingers when there is still some tenderness down there, inhibited me from going all out. Now I'm starting to get the burn that indicates pressure in the cylinders. I can't get it every time, but most. So I think I would answer your question that way. That although there is still some fluid in the reservoir, the cylinders are full, and you can't get anymore in them. One other thing. Perito, as well as many on this site, have said that some enlargement will return, even with the Titan. I believe it is. It's minimal, but measurable. Both length and girth. I'm not gonna get too excited at this early stage. I'd like to be sure before I claim victory. Ha. But I am going to do more cycling for sure. Hope this helps you out a bit. Let me know if I missed the mark.

It seems you are on track now. That burn is key. That's the tissues around the cylinders stretching and expanding. The burn specifically is due to micro-fissures in the tissue. This is a necessary process will go away many months down the road. Keep up the routine and you'll see gradual improvement. You'll be surprised what it's like a year from now...

PCHelp76180 wrote:hard drive, did the mound get firmer as you inflated? Mine feels like part of the cylinder because it gets more firm as I inflate. I do see the wider area near the base, I plan to continue the twice daily cycling for a least year per my Urologists PA.
On a lighter side .... This should all make for a very interesting Thanksgiving holiday. My mother-in-law will be staying with us for a month. Stay tuned !
Yes, it gets firmer when inflating. It's not the cylinders, it's mostly inflammation of tissues and then when inflated, the tight cylinders push against the tissues making the mound more pronounced. Depending on your surgery, you may have some tubing placement under that tissue as well. The tubes harden up when under pressure and also push on the inflamed tissues. It takes many months for this all to normalize for me (about 9-10 months). After that, you will really be able to appreciate your actual size. Any perceptions of size occurring before all inflammation is gone is not noteworthy at all. You can come out looking like a 3 incher and end up with a 7 incher a year later. Don't rush to judgement now... It's all a slow process.

Re: Any tips for maximizing size after surgery?
So I had the surgery this morning at 8am. First surgery. Sounded like the Dr. did 10 surgeries today and implanted me with an 18cm Titan and 2 rear tip extenders. He also from what I understand moved where my scrotum attaches to the penis back a bit to help length.
It's Canada so a bit different system than you guys. I really only talked to the doc for maybe 5 minutes total about the surgery between my initial meeting where I said " I want this surgery", and a couple minutes before the surgery. Not a lot of 'extras' as far as that goes but I had read some of his papers online and know he's the only Dr. in Ontario doing this (convenient than the's down the street) and does a lot of surgeries. Like I said 10 today alone.
Not sure how things will shake out, we'll see. I apprecaiate all the advice and discussion in my thread here by everyone. One thing I've noticed is I'm irritable and bitchy as hell today. On one hand I've ran into a lot of frustrating stupid things/people but I've definitely over reacted.
Additionally I think I did too much today. I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to rest. After the surgery they made me stick around the hospital for a few hours till my memory returned. Then, I went and looked at a new apartment, went to the pharmacy, then spent an hour walking around a couple of furniture stores. Maybe I should just lay in bed a bit more for a couple days?

Do take it easy - you could delay your recovery by overdoing. Get in the recliner, use some Tylenol and ice packs, and let nature take her course.
