Hello folks.
I'm really struggling (9 weeks in) with finding which side (of 4 sides) the OTR release button is. Both side feel the same to me (and slimy..) and there is no obvious slightly raised button to press, when you can think / say "Yes that is it!" Also, when I do, by luck, or trial and error, find the deflate button I can get full seem deflation BUT it won't stay fully deflated..
Many thanks Andy

I haven't had a Titan OTR in a couple of years, but I'll try to help... I had that problem at first to.
The valve block is rectangular. You want to grab the block and press/squeeze the block on the two ends, not the sides.

Sorry, I'm not much with ascii art, I hope you understand what I'm trying to illustrate. If not, I'll take some time later and draw a picture I can upload.

Many thanks Hard Drive,
I have tried to download a pic, or instruction manual for the Titan OTR but I cant find anything. I can feel it is rectangular but I find it hard to locate the correct pressure points and the "main" pressure point to press and hold to deflate!
Best regards,

I was given a rubber (or some similar material) model of the implant which was very helpful. See if you can get one. If you have the actual implant, I'm sure you have some clout to get hold of one.
In lieu of the model, I'll try to help. Unfortunately, one picture is worth a thousand words but I'll do my best: Picture a can of beans with a tube going through the side (not the flat top) right through the middle and centered; allowing you to spin the can if you wanted. If you had your fingers on the flat side you could never feel the tube, right? However, if you put your fingers on the round side of the can, you could get your fingers to a location where you can feel the tube that is going through the side of the "can." By the same token, you can feel the "can" which is the OTR valve. The round part has kind of a "lip" like in a can of food. The round sides (not the flat sides) allow you to slip your fingers closer to the center (a tube about 1/8" - .3cm). So find the round side first by playing with the valve until you can feel the center tube. Now you know that the other "two" sides are the flat sides; one of them being the button and the other side being a non-functional flat side which allows the other finger to have the opposing force. Clear as mud? That's the best I can do until you can get hold of the model.

Andy
I had the same problem when I first got my Titan. It felt slippery, slimy and all four sides felt the same. After a while the slimy feeling went away and I was able to tell the difference between each side of the housing where the button is. For me the improvement was about 3 months after being implanted.
Keep in mind, there is still probably some swelling and trauma going on in their.
Try this, feel two sides of the housing (opposite of each other) and if it has a slightly concave and round feeling to it, that means you are on the wrong side. Rotate 90 degrees from their and you should be in the right position for the deflate button.
