Phyllis @ Dr. Milam's office called and said I am cleared to schedule because United Healthcare said my "ICDN 10 code is a covered code" even though they refuse to send a determination letter. May get the letter yet but they say it may take another month. Milam's surgeries are being scheduled 13 weeks out so February 24th at 6:00 a.m. was the first day available. Go in for pre-op the 22nd, figure out how to waste a day the 23rd, then surgery 24th. A little bummed that I will lose a months work being it could only be done at the beginning of work season and that I will have to cough up the deductible else wait to the end of next year but I'm on the list. Being on the list is all I have wanted for a long long time. Wife is not excited this time. I think she is worried about the $ we'll lose while off work ( March is usually the highest income month of the year here) and then the deductible. Every past year we started working on this in July or August to get this done in the slow season and after the deductible is met. Once again, starting in August did nothing to get this done by 12/31 but on the list. No going back.
