Crinkling of Titan Cylinders when Deflated

I was implanted on Dec 15 and started inflating before 2 weeks had passed. Titan. So I have been pumping twice daily for around 10 days. And it buckles a lot when deflated. It is a problem since the buckled cylinders make the dick stiffer which causes a pretty ugly and visible flaccid. It buckles more on side and the flaccid is quite curved. I had a curve pre op when erect but not when flaccid. Now the curve is much better when erect, but quite bad when flaccid.
On the other hand, the flaccid has improved since I started cycling and it keeps improving.

I discussed this with Dr. Eid and he just said that's the way it has to be. The only way to avoid flaccid buckling is to implant shorter cylinders. But then the erection will be crap.
For him, the indication of perfect length chosen is:
Buckling in flaccid and no tip pain in erect state (after initial cycling pain has disappeared). If buckling when fully implanted, then cylinder size is likely too big.
Of course, this is only valid when the initial stretching and pump pain is passed.

So I guess we Titan guys just have to live with this. The AMS guys can enjoy their softer flaccid and we can enjoy are harder hardons.

And I 100% agree with Motheman. There are so many variables, not everything can be perfect. We must remember where we came from and why we got implanted.
Was that better? No.

My AMS also has a little crinkle at base if I fully deflate by squeezing. If I gently pull tips toward end of penis they get better. Or if I inflate a pump or two.

There are many posts about folds in the Titan but there are also a few posts that say they softened up or became less irritating as the implant got older and loosened up a bit. Keep in mind, I.M.O., it appears most people once healed and on to their normal life do not post any more so how they do 2, 3, 5 years out, there is no report unless the come back to discuss and issue or a revision.

I am 4 weeks from having Titan installed... have noticed crinkling and chuckle.... Titan was replacement for 10+ year old failed AMS Ambicor... the feel and look to me is wonderful... after years of firm clyinders ...like all things sometimes we forget how great we have it.....

I was implanted with an AMS CX 8 weeks ago and have had some crinkles at the base on the left that used to get pretty sore. In the past couple of weeks they have become less sore. Also, I have started putting in a small pump when flaccid to push them out. This small pump totally eliminates the crinkle and the soreness and is still plenty flaccid for going out in public.

I was cycling it last night and deflated after an hour as it was painful. I woke up this morning with an unfamiliar pain. I just realised it is from a new fold at the base in the left cylinder. Now I have it on both sides but the left one hurts as it's new. For now I've just pumped a couple of times to make it go away

Thank you all for your replies, frankly I was staggered at the response. So it would seem from the consensus of opinion here that this crinkling is normal with the Titan implant and that basically we just have to put up with it. As I said at the start, is doesn't cause any pain or problems, apart from looking a bit odd when deflated, my only real concern was that I might have been damaging the cylinders by deflating incorrectly. However from what I have read here that doesn't seem to be the case.
