Mine was $40,000.00, but I only paid my deductible of $500.00. The device itself was $27,000.00. My brothers joke that I have a Porsche in my pants.

I got mine in Germany. Don't know the costs in detail but I think it's in the region of € 12,500 ($ 13,500). Medical aid paid everything?

I like the Porsche. I showed the insurance letter to a friend tonight and he said I had a Maseratti in mine. d

Hmmm...would it be possible to purchase health insurance on your own, then have the operation? If you paid...say, $800 a month that would be $9600 for a year. That's still much lower than 30 grand.

Why would you not have health insurance anyway? We always stressed to our kids that health insurance is a top priority and is the most important item in their budgets because a medical condition, accident or emergency can bankrupt you in a heartbeat. And yes, you could buy insurance in order to get an implant, but you need to be sure that your policy covers them.

So I already posted that my doc charges $16,900 BUT....I found out that is a package price IF you pay up front and without insurance. If you think your insurance will pay for it, go ahead and have the surgery and then find out they denied it, they said I would pay over $30,000. When I asked why they said because once it is submitted to the insurance, it is considered fraud to go back down in price.

I have about a week to go for my surgery and am waiting for my insurance still to approve mine. If they don't by the end of next week, I will bite the bullet and pay the package price. I'm done waiting. This is our lives for Christ's sake. Insurance doesn't care. It's obvious when I call and ask if they have made a decision yet. I was told if I had Medicare, it's no problem. But at 55 I don't have that option. If the insurance comes through I will only pay about $5,000.
Problems began in 2011 at 51 yo. I did testosterone/HCG/Anastrozole but it didn't fix erections. Pills and tri-mix worked then failed. Had AMS 700 CX installed on Feb 2nd 2016 by Dr. Thomas Walsh at University of Washington.

I am amazed at how "cheap" some of the procedures are. I know they seem incredibly expensive, but I had mine done in September in Chicago. When the final hospital bill came it was near $60,000. The implant itself was near $32,000. At first, due to some wording in my referral (I have an HMO and was "approved" for out of network), it looked as though the insurance was denying it. Horrible 5 weeks as I waited to see if my PCP and the insurance would review. Finally they did and paid. The costs I think are WAY out of line, so seeing people say that they where charged 30,000 with the device seems almost reasonable. If you have insurance, make SURE (though I guess you can never really be sure) that they will pay.
